1983 getting BIO on the 12' wide Eagle Rock ramp. It had 2.5 feet vert 8' transitions and only 8' of flat. We built it originally with 4 feet of flat and later pulled it apart with ropes and a car, to add 4. Tight and back and forth. My head spins just thinking about how many times we went back and forth on that thing!

Clyde Hirakawa launching off the pvc coping on a Kryptonics K beam with Pizza deck. Hockey helmet, Sanjon knee pads and a pile of determination. I built this 1/4 pipe against the block wall and Pat climbed on top of the neighbors porch roof, LOL, to measure the action. Vert, palm trees and Hair. 1979?

Mark Mundwiler had the gift of snap and pop and tweak. He was younger than us and better than us. On one of my janky 1/4 pipe creations here he pops an ollie back before many did them proper like that. He had double style. Riding style and his clothing! Corduroy pants and velour shirt with shoulder piping. And look at those locks! Rails copers and a send it attitude! An after school sesh before he had a car. 1980.
