“I only got 500 miles out of these tires!”
Okay. My next question is going to be: What tires did you put on it, and where have you been driving?
If you've got aggressive off-road tires on your golf cart and you're using that cart as a daily driver on blacktop, we may have found part of your problem.
Golf cart tires aren't one-size-fits-all.
Those aggressive off-road tires may look great, but tires designed primarily for dirt, trails, and off-road conditions aren't necessarily the best choice when most of your miles are on pavement.
Trail riding and pavement driving put different demands on a tire. If you're spending most of your time on blacktop, let's put a tire on your cart that's actually suited to how you're using it.
For primarily paved driving, a properly selected street-oriented radial golf cart tire can offer advantages such as a smoother ride, lower rolling resistance, and better characteristics for pavement use.
The bottom line?
Choose your tires based on where you actually drive—not just on what looks good sitting in the driveway.
And while we're at it, we need to have another conversation about using a conventional golf cart like it's your everyday car.
