ON FARM LEASES
Half leases with option for full lease on some, half ranging from 250-400/mo. Located Berwick, ME. Opportunity for fun and rated shows. Trainer on site (competitive hunt seat pleasure and equitation, basic cross rails, basic dressage).
Large outdoor arena and some trails. Horses are either in light use or have sat for various reasons. I’d love to bring them all back into consistent work but I had a baby recently and need to share the fun.
Chewy - Saintly pony, 13.3, 12 y/o. Used in children’s lessons with local fun show and beach experience. The kindest horse you will ever meet. Has his own engine, SAFE. W/T/C. 135lb weight limit.
Frites - Green hony, rising 5 y/o standing about 14.3 hh. Solid start, W/T/C, easy to train. Will make you feel like a genius with an easy walk to canter. Sat for a year while I was pregnant and restarted last month pretty much the same. Has been to the beach/trail/local fun show and is still very alert and fidgety. Intermediate with lessons or advanced rider with check ins. He’s my boy. Safe, has only ever thrown a baby buck once or twice in his life, I started him from scratch. Forward gaits but more woah than go mind in the ring. Will move off leg and weight shift. Not started over fences.
Joey - Rising 7 y/o, 15.2. He’s a drafty type with a gorgeous head. In your pocket sweet boy, super smart. Great start, goes on the bit W/T/C and will bend, go off the leg, transition well. Started walk to canter transitions but sticky. More woah than go but has some zest and a quirk so advanced rider only as we want him to stay on the right track. Has been off property but needs more miles. Has been out of work since fall.
Chubby - 8 y/o, 16.2+hh. Super gaits, floaty everything and very comfy. Started under saddle W/T/C by a pro but has been sitting, would need a short long lining refresher. Quirky on the ground (think naughty pony but not malicious) but worth it to the right person as he’s relatively uncomplicated under saddle. Tons of potential, very smart and easy to train.
Quinn - 10 y/o Spotted Saddle Horse 14.3hh. Green and forward, but safe. Mare. She has a great natural gait, fox trotter. We ride her mostly in a western saddle but she doesn’t neck rein. Has been to the beach, equine affaire, off property and is the same. Month to month only as she’s for sale. PENDING
Nakia - Saint pony, 14.1hh, 22-23ish. My childhood pony, I rode her when she was a 3 y/o as a kid and she’s always been good to me. She has some energy but I use her for little kid lessons and pony rides on occasion and she’s great. Semi-retired so I’d like to see her go to someone under 100lbs for the walk/trot job. Would be a good fit for an experienced parent with little(s) to tote around or a small walk/trot kid that wants some extra rides with a good girl.
