Our 32nd official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was one of the most peaceful mornings out on the trail I think we've ever had! These gals were so excited to meet the donkeys and get out into nature; they really seemed like they had done their research going into their hike! I'm not sure if we saw any other humans on the trail this day! The donkeys had so much fun with their human partners, and they even got some SUPER special treats at the end... HONEY CRISP APPLES?! OMG! It's true folks - sometimes, these donkeys be eating better than we do; but hey, a spoiled donkey is a happy donkey!

Big group??? We'd love to accommodate you and your party!!! Our 31st official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was our largest number of participants yet, and was such a fun way to celebrate a birthday! When I first heard about this celebratory birthday hike, I just knew this was going to be one the best birthday's this gal ever had! We had all of the Team Poppie donkeys, along with a couple extra awesome donkeys too! This entire family got to experience the donkey magic, hear tales of donkey legend, talk about the upcoming races in Colorado and much more. At the end of the hike, the hike leader was even challenged to a race... and was beaten! You can see CLEARLY in the pictures below, that Coach Mac was beaten by a nose at the finish! I believe we have a future b***o racer in this group!

Our 30th (30?!?!) official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was truly an absolute blast! We got to learn all about "Geocaching" out on the trails, we enjoyed the beautiful sun-rays down by the river, and we definitely made two more donkey enthusiasts out of these two! This hike was planned for one of my great friends (and one of our Team Poppie sponsors!) here in the area. She had been planning this adventure for her grandson for months, but when she told me she had a few curveballs up here sleeve, I should have know what fun we were in for! The donkeys had a wonderful time hanging with these two out on the trails, and when we were almost done, we learned that there was a "Geocache" very close by! After some navigating and detective work, WE FOUND IT! How cool! And now we have plans to add to the Geocache, perhaps even with some donkey specific items!

Our 29th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was another great one! These gals showed both the donkeys and I that they were ready for their adventure and hit the trails like a couple of seasoned veterans. Both of these gals had some previous equine experience, which although is definitely not necessary, it can be very helpful. The donkeys clearly enjoyed the company of these gals, and something tells me the ladies had a great time as well!

Our 28th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was a family adventure that will be a core memory for this family for years to come. We had such a good time talking donkey stories, fun donkey facts, and tales of donkey races with this wonderful family. These folks make it a point to get the entire family together every so often, and we felt very fortunate to share our donkey magic during their annual get together. This crew was a big one - and even needed us to wrangle up a few extra donkeys for their party. Something we couldn't do?! Yeah right! We were excited to have 7 donkeys out on the trail this day, and we are happy to accommodate even larger groups with more than 30 days notice!

Our 27th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was another great morning out on the trails! This donkey enthusiast didn't have to twist her friends arms to hard to convince them to join her for a guided donkey hike, and they did superb out there! Being around donkeys once or twice is one thing, but actually getting to get them out into nature with you and see what they can do?! It's an experience you just have to take part in to fully understand, and I think these folks couldn't have been more excited to take part in this experience.

Our 26th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was a heartwarming tribute to a dear family member! This mother & son duo booked their hike as a way to honor a family member who had recently passed away, and it seemed as if the universe wanted to provide us the perfect day to hike with the donkeys and do so! We had such a fun time, enjoying the crisp yet warm mountain air, and the donkeys loved the big bag of carrots that was waiting for them the moment the hike was over - it was perfect! I have known these two for more than 5 years now, and to get to share such a special experience with them meant a lot. We can't wait to get them back out on the trails again!

Our 25th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" had me feeling like I was a teenager again! These 3 dudes, along with a very dear friend of mine, came out and hit the trails for the first time, and within minutes, they were HOOKED! Sometimes you have to be what we call "b***o-brave", and these young men, along with their grandma, took the challenge and showed us how brave they were right away! We had all three boys handling their equine partner with ease, and we even did a bit of running on the downhills (as you can see in the pictures)! And how did their grandma do, you ask? She kicked major @$$ out there, just as I expected a super cool Colorado local like her would! She came prepared and ready to hike, and the donkeys (Poppie!) had such a fun time out there with her and the boys. Oh, and far as the boys go... I see some future b***o racers!!!

Our 24th official "Guided hike with award winning miniature donkeys" was booked out for a ladies' hiking group from down out of Denver, and from the moment they arrived we had an absolute blast! These lovely ladies, all of whom were experienced hikers, were absolutely thrilled to not only get to meet the donkeys, but to learn more about donkey handling and to actually get out into nature with them and experience some of that "donkey magic" they had kept hearing about! We made sure to stop, take lots of pictures, smell the roses and tell our donkeys how good they were doing almost every chance we got. I have a good feeling we will be seeing ALL, if not most of these gals again!
