Applications are currently being accepted by the Borough Council for the position of Full-Time Public Works Maintenance Worker. Maintenance workers perform a variety of physical and mental tasks associated with the maintenance, repair, and construction of Public Works assets. Essential functions include equipment operations, such as repairing and performing general maintenance tasks on Borough roadways, operating light- or medium- weight trucks, and plowing and removing snow; vehicle repair and maintenance; storm and sanitary repair and maintenance; and property maintenance tasks at municipal buildings, parks, and recreation areas. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license. Must be able to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis, especially during periods of snow. Flagger certification, CPO certification, and Pesticide Application certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. This is a union position, affiliated with General Teamsters Local 249. Happy weekend! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect Saturday. Come spend the afternoon with us - the water may be a little cold, but the sun is out and we know there are a lot of brave little fish out there who will have fun splashing and playing in the water. We open at noon - so we'll see you soon.

Happy Opening Day!

We hope some of our brave friends will visit today - thanks to the hard work of our public works crew the pool is ready to go and looks great. We have two amazing new slides. And our gate guards and lifeguards can't wait to meet y'all!

We're counting down to opening day at Avalon Community Pool!

Kindly remember that Avalon Pool Staff cannot accept payment for or process pool pass applications. Please submit all online pool pass applications and payments to the Avalon Borough Administrative Office no later than FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2026, to ensure that applications will be process and approved for use this weekend.

Daily admission rates are $8 for adults 18-61, $6 for children 4-17 and adults 62 and older, and FREE for children 3 and under. All patrons will be admitted for $2 after 5:00 pm. Daily admissions can be purchased with cash at the pool, or online for those who wish to pay via credit card. All credit card admissions MUST be processed through Access Granted: https://community.accessgrantedsystems.net/community/borough_of_avalon. Patrons should select the Daily Admission Ticket option.
