This past December, we lost a dear friend, Keith Susany. Although I haven't seen or talked to Keith and Shirley in a really long time, I am still very saddened by the loss. Keith was a really all-around good guy, friend, leader, fun cabin-mate, and hard worker. So, in honor of Keith, I have put together a photo memorial to share the many fun times we all had with him (and of course, Shirley -- either personally or with the Pittsburgh Ski Club. His legacy with the Pittsburgh Ski Club is still with us today--the Myrtle Beach Dream Week (still PSC's longest running trip), the "Catch the Spirit" phrase, which he coined in the late 1990's, and the diplomacy he always showed when he was President and officer of the PSC--"You can disagree, but don't be disagreeable." Keith -- You are missed and loved by many. Rest in Peace. Here's to you, my friend.!🥃 🍺

Mother Nature has been working harder than an Amazon driver to deliver!
Fresh snow has fallen in the past 5 days (as of January 5th) and the totals are glorious, and MORE snow is on the way.🎉

Around December 22, avalanche work near Teton Pass triggered a huge slide that buried the road to Jackson Hole under 35 feet of snow.

PSC December 2025 Travel Update

So Winter has arrived, in the East, West & even in Europe.

Breckenridge just received 25", on top of the snow they already have, & more is on the way. We also found out we can use our Epic Day Tickets & Pass at Keystone. Daily Free shuttles between Breck & Keystone.
Breck still has an opening for 1 male and 2 others to share a slope side condo. Flying Southwest, honoring free bag check.

Still openings for Solden, Austria & Crested Butte, check your newsletter for full details on all trips.

SURVEY - Don't forget to fill out your trip survey to tell us where you want to ski/board in 2027. Booking early gets us the best price & lodging.

Pittsburgh Ski Club Trip Update

The Thurs., Nov. 6th Vendor Showcase & Social was a great time, lots of vendors, members & guests (some even joined that night), not to mention all the prizes.

I talked with a lot of members thinking about going on a ski trip. If you have any questions, or need clarification please let me know, email me: [email protected]

Most of our trips are still open.

Breckenridge (12/14-19/2025) Just opened - What a way to kick off the ski season, & get your ski legs. Beaver Run Resort - Peak 8, a true ski in & ski out.

Solden, Austria (01/30 -02/07/2026) never skied Europe, or you have! This is Austria’s hidden gem. Staying in a 3-Star family-owned hotel, full breakfast & dinner included.

Crested Butte (02/22-03/01/2026), average snow fall 300”, a skier’s paradise. Grand Lodge just 200 yards from lifts.

Telluride (03/17-24/2026), rated one of the US best ski resorts. 4-Star Bear Creek Lodge, slopeside. Trip is full, but let me know & I will place you on the wait list, you just never know!

We are working on a weekday ski trip to Holiday Valley, NY, more info to follow.

PSC members now is the time to wax up the skis & boards & sign up to ski with your PSC friends. We still have openings on several of our ski trips out West & Europe. Just waiting for you! Sign up as a single, or more & we will do our best to find a roommate/s.

Seven Springs EPIC Local Pass holders, you are all set to ski Breckenridge or Crested Butte, NO additional fee. Solden, Austria is even now an EPIC resort.

Telluride, is looking for 1 male to share a 2-bedroom 2-bath condo.
