Assess, not guess. That’s the foundation of our assessment, so we can build the most effective exercise prescription based on what your body actually needs.

Here’s what we look at:
- Passive and active range of motion at each joint
- Sticky or uncomfortable ranges within those joints
- Big toe function and control
- Single-leg balance
- Overall movement mechanics

When a joint has full passive and active range of motion, and you have control within that range, we consider that a healthy, well-functioning joint. If not, it simply means that area could use a little more attention.

Our assessment is inspired by the Functional Range Systems developed by Dr. Andreo Spina, DC, combined with our Medical Exercise Training approach to give a complete picture of how your body moves.

This past Friday, we hosted our very first EMX Client Mixer, and it was an incredible evening! We want to thank everyone who joined us and helped celebrate the amazing community we have built together.

This event was our way of showing how much we appreciate each and every one of you, and it was so rewarding to see everyone connecting, laughing, and enjoying time together outside of their training sessions. We truly have the best clients, and we hope you had the chance to meet someone new and make a new friend along the way.

This is the group photo we captured from the event. A wonderful photo of the people who make EMX such a special place. Thank you for being part of our community!

This week, we're kicking off a new video series where we break down common exercises and positions to help you get the most benefit from every movement. Our goal is to show you the small details that can make a big difference in your strength, stability, and overall results.

This week, we're focusing on the quadruped position (hands and knees). While it may seem simple, quadruped is a foundational full-body setup that we use frequently at EMX. Proper positioning helps activate the right muscles, improve body awareness, and create a stronger foundation for movement. However, it's easy to miss a few key details that can limit its effectiveness.

Watch the video below to learn how to set up the quadruped position correctly and maximize its benefits!

Benefits of Proper Quadruped Positioning:

- Improves core activation and spinal stability
- Enhances shoulder and hip joint positioning
- Promotes better body awareness and movement control
- Creates a strong foundation for balance and coordination exercises
- Encourages proper breathing mechanics and posture

Mrs. Frances Update 💛

After a session with Kristen and Miranda. At 85 years young, we are so proud of the progress she has made at EMX. Her consistency, effort, and positive attitude continue to shine through each session. She is a great example of what steady dedication can accomplish.

Ever wonder if your trainers actually do the same exercises they have you do?

The answer is yes! While every trainer has their own fitness routine, we also prioritize many of the same mobility, strength, and movement practices that we coach our clients through each day. We don't recommend these exercises because they're easy, we recommend them because they work.

At EMX, we're committed to helping you build a healthier, stronger body for the long haul, and we're right there alongside you doing the work too.

Gloria has been absolutely crushing it! Both in and outside of the gym. She continues to show up consistently twice a week alongside her two sisters, and that consistency is paying off in a big way.

Lately, all three of them have been leveling up their strength, so of course, we had to grab a photo to prove it.

Check out Gloria’s testimonial by clicking the link in our bio to see what safe and effective strength training has meant for her!

Let’s go ladies!! This group has been working hard on their core strength so we needed to brag on them a little bit. Here they are looking strong and hitting their core goals.

Stronger core:
• Better posture (stand taller, sit straighter)
• Less lower back pain
• Improved balance & stability
• Reduced risk of injury
• Better performance in walking, lifting, and daily movement
• Stronger support for your spine
• Improved coordination & control
• safer more effective lifting
• Helps you move more efficiently every day

Core isn’t just about abs, it’s your body’s foundation.
