Just one week ago, this group came together for the first time this season. After an incredible 1st week of Band Camp (8 AM–9 PM), they’ll be back at it again next week for week 2!

Thank you to everyone who cheered them on at Alumni Fest during their first performance of the 2026–2027 school year, and to everyone who stopped by the Amherst Bands booth to share your favorite band memories.

Today at the Amherst Alumni Fest you will have the opportunity to own a piece of Marching Comet history and support future members as we make room for our new inventory!
Our old Shakos will be available at the Amherst Bands Booth in front of Ron Zelels.

The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to kick off another incredible season! To make the week even more fun, we’re celebrating with Spirit Week all week long! 🌟

Here’s what’s in store:
☀️ Sunday: Sun’s Out, Fun’s Out – Wear bright, colorful outfits!
🎬 Monday: Movie Monday – Rock your favorite movie T-shirt.
🩰 Tuesday: Tu-Tu Tuesday – Break out those tutus!
🌺 Wednesday: Lei’d Back Wednesday – Wear your best Hawaiian-themed outfit.
👯Thursday: Thriving Thursday (Twin Day) – Match with someone who’s helped you thrive through band camp so far.
🤵✨ Friday: Fancy Friday – Dress to impress in a formal outfit that’s still comfortable and appropriate to march in.

Help us continue one of Amherst Marching Comets favorite traditions—providing halftime snacks for ALL band members, including our visiting bands! 💚💛

Competition sponsorships also help provide healthy snacks and drinks for our students before and after performances throughout the busy marching season.

Join us tonight for our Band Booster meeting!
Everyone is welcome!

Reminder that today’s meeting date was adjusted to accommodate band camp next week, and after tonight, meetings will be held on the 4th Monday of each month during marching season.

Yesterday AMC wrapped up their first three leadership meetings of the year. From fun games to meaningful conversations, they accomplished a lot and grew even more as a team.
They are excited to build on everything they have started and we can't wait to see what this leadership team brings to the season!
