Here is this month's calendar. All classes take place in the classroom of the Abita Springs Recreation Center Gym located at 22519 Highway 36, Abita Springs, LA 70420.
Soothing Stretch Chair class is a slow-paced practice of standing and seated soothing stretches that are held for longer periods of time to loosen muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation while boosting your mood and reducing stress and joint strain. Please join us for stretches that will energize the body and help you enjoy the rest of the weekend with openness and ease. I supply various props such as chairs, blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to achieve comfort and support. This class is offered on Saturday mornings, see class schedule for dates.
All are welcome to these body affirming yoga classes that makes poses accessible to all shapes and body sizes, no experience or flexibility needed. Stretches are modified so they can be done while seated in a chair to make the classes accessible and all-inclusive no matter your experience level or physical condition.

Awaken Your Grace through Movement and Music ~ Saturday Morning ~ 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Abita Gym. I am very happy to share the experience of listening to crystal bowls with the chair yoga community. My personal love for this experience has led me to share it with others.
Join me for an morning of relaxation through subtle, no experience necessary, stretching movements followed by a soothing sound immersion.
Guests are invited to either lay down on the floor, relax in a chair, or even bring your own folding lounge chair to recline while listening to sounds from the crystal singing bowls which have effects on our brain waves, bodies and our hearts.
Essential oils will be diffused in the air to deepen the experience.
Find your grace and some ease in our everyday world.

Saturday morning fitness in Abita Springs. Wondering if “chair class” is something you would be interested in? Will it be too hard? Will it be too easy? I invite you to move out of your comfort zone and join us in gentle warm up movements that will energize the body and help you enjoy the rest of the day with openness and ease. A relaxing and grounding way to start the weekend off right. Soothing Stretch Chair Class - 10:30 - 11:30 AM. This is a slow paced, chair-based practice of soothing stretches to loosen muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation while boosting your mood and reducing stress and joint strain. Beginner poses are modified so they can be done using a chair to make this class accessible and all-inclusive no matter your experience level or physical condition.
