What a fantastic day of racing at Ruakaka Racecourse on Saturday, with our local stables giving the home crowd plenty to cheer about! 🏇👏
🌟 Race 5 – Tree Wise Northland 1600m
Alker Traz (Michelle Bradley Racing) was too good, scoring by 1¼ lengths with a determined performance.
🌟 Race 6 – 15 August Cambridge Stud Northland Breeders' Stakes 1100m Sprint
She's No Saint produced an outstanding display, powering away to win by an impressive 3 lengths. Even better for the locals, 2nd through to 6th were all filled by horses from the local stables of Kenny Rae & Michelle Bradley – a tremendous result and a showcase of the strength of Ruakaka's local training talent.
🌟 Race 8
The biggest roar of the afternoon belonged to Rotten Tommy, trained locally by Anthony Burton, who stormed home down the outside rail to claim another memorable Ruakaka victory. The celebrations in the Dean Logan Winners Circle said it all, with owners, connections and supporters sharing in Rotten Tommy's second Ruakaka win.
A huge congratulations to all our winning trainers, owners, jockeys and stable staff, and thank you to everyone who came along to support a great day of racing. The enthusiasm and encouragement for our local horses created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
