MyRide Motueka athlete Louie Burger raced at the Moturoa Backyard Ultra last weekend running a remarkable 87km.

With a tough, repetitive course of 6.7km every hour on the hour, Louie completed 12hrs before missing the cutoff on his thirteenth lap. A very very impressive effort!

The event was super well run (pun intended) and there was such a supportive atmosphere. Being the first year this event was run, they had a sold out field of 250 competitors!

Great work Louie, we’re very proud of you!

Introducing the crew - Hannah Roborgh 🚵‍♀️

Hannah is back with us for the summer after spending her winter exploring warmer areas overseas.

She grew up riding with her family and started to compete in XC during high school. Now she rides socially, enjoying all the trails of our beautiful region and doing her best to stay upright.

Hannah rides a Scott Ransom 910 2024 for her downhill escapades and a Scott Spark 910 2024 for racing and overnight trips ⛰️🌱👣

For safety on trail she uses
- IXS Trigger helmet
- Scott Solider 2 kneepads
- Giro DND gloves
And recommends ALL of them.

The annual Nelson Orienteering Club Wily Weka was held last Sunday and two of our staff headed along to compete! It was a fun, wet day and a very interesting course.

Brent’s team (MyRide Motueka) took out the overall three hour category with 1930 points and Hannah and her Dad came 5th in the Open Mixed.

It was a great day had all round and the rain even held off til midday! Big thank you to Nelson Orienteering Club and all their volunteers for organising - it ran super smoothly and was a fantastic event. 🪺🌱
