We’re continuing the team announcements for the 𝟮𝗝 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, & we’re excited to announce our fourth confirmed team the Rotorua Rascals Stockcar Team.

The Rascals are officially confirmed for Saturday 21st November & will be making the trip to Huntly ready for a night of full contact teams racing.

With the defending champions, Kihikihi Kings, Meeanee Maulers & now the Rotorua Rascals confirmed, the line up is starting to heat up!

The Rascals will be looking to cause some damage & make their mark when the team hits the track!

Thank You, Rascal 87r Chris Shingleton

After an incredible journey in Stockcar racing, Chris Shingleton (87R) has made the decision to hang up the helmet and retire from both Teams racing and Stockcar competition.(he wasn’t tooooo bad in a Streetstock either 😝)

Chris has been a huge part of the Rotorua Rascals story, a key member of our back-to-back 1NZ National Championship winning teams, and someone who always put the team first.

Unfortunately, during this past season’s Teams Champs campaign, Chris suffered an injury in the Quarter Final, forcing his meeting to come to an early end while the boys battled on to bring home 3NZ. We know it would’ve been incredibly tough watching it all unfold from a hospital bed.

But Chris’ contribution to this team goes far beyond one meeting.

Whether it was putting his body on the line, throwing the big hits when they mattered, or doing whatever the team needed, Chris always gave everything for the Rascals Kit.

From everyone involved with the Rotorua Rascals, thank you mate. For the commitment, the sacrifices, the memories, and for playing such a huge part in one of the most successful eras this team has had.

You’ll always be part of the Rascals family, and the door is always open around our pit.

Enjoy retirement mate, and thank you for everything.
