Hash House Harriers Pania Plodders

Hash House Harriers Pania Plodders Hello, Pania Plodders HHH is a drinking and running/walking group that gets together once a week inHB Usually on a Monday, or on occasion – Sunday. Interested?

Pania Plodders HHH is a non-competitive, social, drinking and running/walking group that gets together once a week. Hash House Harrier groups exist in most countries around the world and are often described as “drinking clubs with a running problem!”

Napier HHH, otherwise known as Pania Plodders was founded on March 9th, 1981. Each “Hash” or otherwise known as a run/walk consists of two parts. T

he actual run/walk and then the circle. The run is usually on a trail set by a “Hare” and varies between 3-5km. These are predominantly set in Napier, but every 2-3 weeks, we set a Hastings trail. These “runs” can of course be walked and are suitable for oldies and youngies alike! Somewhere during the night – whether it’s in the middle of the walk/run, or afterwards, there are delicious, cold, refreshing alcoholic beverages! There are also non-alcoholic drinks available too. The cost of each run is about $5 (hash kash), with an additional (but small) cost per beverage consumed. The funds then go back into supplying the drinks, and running costs for the club. Hope to see you at our next event! OnOn!

🍻 🐎 Photos from our AGPU – Year of the Horse! 🐎 🍻

Q: Why did the horse cross the trail?
A: To get to the other cider. 🍺😂

A fun day was had causing mischief at the Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds with plenty of horsing around antics! 🐴

The Plodders trotted their way through the start of trail, where they found themselves getting creative with a little bit of arts and crafts 🎨. Once they had drawn and named their trusty steeds… THEY WERE OFF! 🐎💨

To the tune of 🎵 The William Tell Overture 🎶, the Plodders galloped their way through a series of challenges, including:
🏃 The Sprint
🏇 The Steeplechase
🎯 Horse Feed Toss – Bucket Target 🍎🥕
🪅 And finally, the Grand Finale – Piñata Whacking, where the winning steeds got to beat their treats out of the poor unsuspecting piñata! 😂
-Video evidence to come out very shortly! 🤣

After all that horsing around, the Plodders picked up a bit of a canter and continued trail in search of their well-deserved p**s stop for a beer n’ cider. 🍻🍎
Trail then continued to the Hastings Club Rooms, where we stumbled upon some spontaneous rock ’n’ roll dancing and live music. 💃🕺🎶
Then it was Home Home to Thai Silk for some more horse banter, plenty of laughs, and of course… the awards! 🏆🐴🍻

OnOn to next years AGPU 👀 🍻
