2026 ROAD TRIP TO TAUPO DARTS CLUB

Saturday sees our first away trip with a team of 19 travelling up State Highway 5 to take on the Taupo Darts Club.

Sure to be a great day of action and laughter with players from 5 different teams repping Mavericks at the oche!

Lets win gloriously, lose gracefully and celebrate accordingly!

2026 TAUPO DARTS CLUB TRIP - Saturday July 25th

CONFIRMATION CUT OFF - Saturday July 18th - names need to be in by this Saturday with payment by Thursday 23rd

On July 25th Mavericks Darts are travelling to Taupo to take on Taupo Darts Club in a teams challenge event. The focus is on fun and friendly rivalry with a result being a bonus!

Vans will be leaving around 9am, grab some lunch and then down to the Darts Club for the Main Event. Should be in the vans for a slower trip home around 6pm and back in the Bay 9ish.

The charge is a heavily subsidised $25 per player only and we are looking for a team of 16-20 players including two drivers. We already have one driver volunteer and numbers are starting to roll in but we need commitment!! Cut off is this Saturday to join the trip.

Come along and support our first away trip. We are keen to make this an annual event and welcome Taupo back to Bev Ridges!

This year we will be travelling up and back on the day but expect to make this a weekend trip in future years!

Vans will be leaving around 9am, grab some lunch and then down to the Darts Club for the Main Event. Should be in the vans for a slower trip home around 6pm and back in the Bay 9ish.

Transport is heavily subsidised by Mavericks with a $25 charge per player only. Depending on numbers there may be additional support on offer!

We are looking for a group of 16-24 players for our first away trip with all Mavericks players most welcome. We also need 2 volunteers to drive the vans - won't be able to drink on the day but will receive thanks in other ways!

HEY LADIES!!

The 2026 TDDL Ladies Singles Champs are on next Tuesday at home base - Bev Ridges!

Entry cut off is 6.45 with the tournament starting at 7pm with format depending on numbers.

Let's get as many of our qualified ladies (played 2 league matches in 2026 to be eligible for the title) as possible along as we build a home for ladies darts! Volunteer & celebrity scorers are also most welcome!

Sam from Bev Ridges has put up $100 in bar tab prizes for our ladies to compete for so get in and have a shot.

Entry is just $2 and Mavericks will pay this on behalf of our members - no excuses!

There will be a further exciting Mavericks announcement for the ladies to be made on the night.

TDDL Round one results now confirmed.

Well done to all.

TDDL SEASON 2026 - Round One Results

The first round has been completed and congratulations go to all teams, new & old, for the numerous tight games, individual highlights and fantastic spirit in which games were played.

A super tight finish to the round with the last week seeing a possible three way tie at the top! In the end the tie breaks were not required and the 2026 TDDL Round One Champions are the Vikings. Congratulations to the team on a 10 and 1 record through the round robin.

The league now goes into a 3 week run of Champs games featuring the Drawn Pairs Champs tomorrow night at Clubs Napier, the Open Singles Champs at Taradale RSA on July 7th and the Ladies Champs at Bev Ridges on July 14th.

Get in there and have a go - it might be your night!!

Following the Champs we split into 2 second round competitions with every team returning to zero points as we chase the Season Champion & Best of the Rest titles before we complete the season with the Knockouts & Prizegiving in August & September.

The draw has been completed for Round 2 and will be sent to all captains once the Knockout Draw is made tomorrow night at the Drawn Pairs.
