Yesterday was Rigging day… the real boat yoga. 🤪
After 6.5 hours of clanking, tightening, tweaking, and replacing bits that apparently had very official boat names (which we mostly call “that shiny thing up there”), the rigging is finally tuned and ship-shape. 🙃
Of course this also involved the delicate nautical ritual of pulling out the $$$$$… opening the wallet… and watching the moths fly out before handing it over. Boat life at its finest. 😅
Now the mast is standing tall, the wires are humming the right tune, and the boat looks like she’s just come back from a very fancy nautical spa day.
So for now we sit back, admire the handiwork, and let her rest. In another week we’ll be flying our way back toward the British Virgin Islands, sails up, rigging humming, and smiles just as tight as those freshly tuned stays. ⛵✨
Funny how 6.5 hours, a handful of parts, and a wallet full of moths can turn into a whole lot of miles waiting to happen.
