Well… 3 dreamy days of doing absolutely nothing (and loving it) in Smugglers Cove 🌞😎
Snorkelling, sunsets, and fish avoiding us like pros 🐠😂
Up anchor today to “beat” the storm…
Yeah nah, storm won 😅🌬️
Now tucked up in West End—slightly soggy but still smiling ⛵️✨life is good even when we get wet its not always about the sunshine 😉

Epic early sunrise sail this morning 🌅—jib up, chasing those rolly seas with a light breeze that was just enough to fill the sail and keep us gliding sweetly along. There’s something magic about that quiet ocean rhythm after a peaceful Easter getaway… just us, the boat, and the open water.
Now cruising into Road Town, on the hunt for a few boat parts, soaking up a new bay, and taking in the scene as the cruise ships roll in one by one 🚢
Honestly… what more could you want on a fine Tuesday morning? Pure bliss out here ✨

6 days ago we Up anchors at 5:30am leaving St. Martin, engines and sails humming as we set off ⛵🌊 Coffee in hand and ready for the day…
About 16 miles out, a freak storm rolled over us—seas turned choppy and the boat was thrown around like a washing machine for a solid 30 minutes 😅🌧️💨 Then just like that… back to calm, flowing seas ✨Anchor getting serviced,
Around 10 miles out—BAM! Mahi Mahi on! 🎣💥 Andy was ecstatic pulling in that beauty. Fish landed—this one counts! 🐟 The colours were phenomenal 🌈💛💙💚 and tasted even better 😋🔥
To top it all off, arriving was pretty cool with a regatta in full swing ⛵🎉—felt like we were part of the race coming in!
All up, a 15-hour adventure full of chaos, laughs, and epic moments 📸🌊

Just when you think the universe couldn’t script it better… OUR LAST WEEK in St Martin and BOOM 💥—our absolute favourite humans come sailing straight into our bay like some kind of salty destiny moment 😏⛵️
Reunited with our partner-in-crime boat fam from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 and honestly… HOW has a whole year disappeared?! The kids are suddenly taller, louder, funnier (and slightly more feral 😅), and we’ve all levelled up in stories, chaos, and questionable decisions 🍹
Cue the only appropriate response… an all-out, no-holds-barred FEAST 🔥
Food flowing, drinks pouring, laughter echoing across the water… one of those nights that starts “just a catch up” and ends in “how is it 2am and why are we still going” 🤪
And just like that… anchors up again 💔
No long goodbyes, just a knowing look like “same time, same place… different island” 😉
Because somehow, some way… our sails ALWAYS cross again.
Next chapter loading… Grenada 🇬🇩 in a few months—round two of the madness, and we are so here for it 😈⛵️

Its been a little over a week since we did this adventure but on this day here's what we said
Well… today quickly turned into a “screw it, let’s DO IT” kind of day 🤪😅
One minute we’re chilling… next minute we’ve signed up for the highest, wildest zipline around. A couple of “liquid courage” shots later 🥃 and suddenly it felt like a brilliant idea!
30 knots of wind, hats flying off, hair going absolutely feral… and then they slap a hairnet on us just to seal the look 😆
Clipped in, locked down — no backing out now. Heart racing, laughing, slightly questioning our life choices…
Then BAM — gate opens, red button hit 🔴 and off we go!!
Screaming, laughing, “OMG this is AMAZING!!” while flying through the air with the most unreal views.
Proof that sometimes the best days come from saying yes to the crazy… and just going for it ✨

With The Cruising Kiwis – I'm on a streak! I’ve apparently been a Top Fan for 22 months in a row 🎉 (pretty sure it’s been longer… but who’s counting besides Facebook! 😅).
The real surprise though? Actually bumping into these legends in person! What are the odds.
Rob, it was an absolute pleasure to say hi on Friday the 13th — which clearly turned out to be a lucky day instead of unlucky 🤪 — while we were both busy doing the classic cruiser shuffle… docking our dinghies! ⚓🚤
Sometimes the cruising world really does feel like a small floating village.

Boat life update 🤪⛵
Funny how the “to-do list” on a boat never actually gets shorter… it just keeps adding new lines of its own! One minute you’re ticking something off, the next minute another job quietly sneaks onboard.
Today’s victories though… ✔️ new lines for the dinghy lifting bridle, ✔️ jacklines replaced, and ✔️ finally got our stubborn stanchion line straightened after all this time (about time you behaved!).
And the big win… we are SUPER stoked the rigging is finally completed! 🙌 Now she’s looking sharp, feeling strong, and just about ready to stretch her legs again.
Boat life… one job done, three more appear… but hey, that’s all part of the salty fun! 😅⚓

Yesterday was Rigging day… the real boat yoga. 🤪
After 6.5 hours of clanking, tightening, tweaking, and replacing bits that apparently had very official boat names (which we mostly call “that shiny thing up there”), the rigging is finally tuned and ship-shape. 🙃
Of course this also involved the delicate nautical ritual of pulling out the $$$$$… opening the wallet… and watching the moths fly out before handing it over. Boat life at its finest. 😅
Now the mast is standing tall, the wires are humming the right tune, and the boat looks like she’s just come back from a very fancy nautical spa day.
So for now we sit back, admire the handiwork, and let her rest. In another week we’ll be flying our way back toward the British Virgin Islands, sails up, rigging humming, and smiles just as tight as those freshly tuned stays. ⛵✨
Funny how 6.5 hours, a handful of parts, and a wallet full of moths can turn into a whole lot of miles waiting to happen.
