Its been a great ( almost) 3years since I started these classes and have enjoyed taking classes and the friendships made along the way. I will be going back to full time study next year and will not have the time to take 2 classes a week. I will still take 1 class a week on a Friday at the Napier RSA 10 AM. This comes into effect from mid February, until then classes will be as normal....Monday Taradale RSA and Thursday Napier RSA both at 10am.
Look forward to seeing you all back in action from 6/01/25.

My approach to training has always been to use a varies different muscles groups simultaneously because we are built to move as a unit. That is why my classes are built on this concept. This type of training is called compound training. Here are some interesting facts about this method of training:

What's compound exercising?

This is a method exercising a group of different muscles groups at the same time. The benefits far out weigh exercising one muscle group at a time, this is called isolation training.

Benefits of compound exercising are:
Improves intermuscular co-ordination: this teaches muscle and joints to work together as a unit.
Burns more calories as you are work a group of muscles simultaneously.
Improves flexibility and mobility:
Lengthening and contracting muscles with every rep naturally improves flexibility and joint mobility with continual motion.

Monday - Taradale RSA @ 10am
Thursday- Napier RSA @ 10am

I am now offering one on one sessions from the comfort of your home for those of you that think you may benefit from this approach. Sessions are either 30mins or 1hour.

HI All...

I have developed and run resistant band training for over 50's for the past year and have had some incredible feedback from regular attendees from improved hips and knees to being more confident walking without aid ( I do a lot of balance in the class) to freedom of back and body pain.

There are 3 classes a week, one at Taradale RSA ( Mondays) and Wednesday and Thursday at Napier RSA. My classes are ACC approved and vetted.
