🥊 NORTH ISLAND GOLDEN GLOVES 2026 🥊

What a weekend for our team. While we didn’t come away with any division titles this time, the performances put on display reflected the hard work, commitment, and talent within this team.

A special mention to Charlie, who stepped up to the open woman’s division and fought her way through to the final. Awesome achievement and one to be incredibly proud of.

Boxing is a tough sport. Both fighters often do enough to deserve the win, but only one hand can be raised at the end. That’s the nature of the game and one of the reasons we have so much respect for everyone who steps through those ropes.

Team, we are incredibly proud of you. You put in the work and displayed skill and heart. The results will come. For now, we take the experience and get back to work.

We’ve added new classes to the timetable every Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 8am. These classes are perfect for hospitality workers, shift workers, parents dropping kids to school - and really anyone wanting to squeeze in a solid morning session 💥

PLUS we’ve teamed up with Mt College to bring an 8 week youth programme on a Monday & Wednesday 3.15pm running during the school term 🙌

A bit of a sad week for Bay Boxfit as we say “see you soon” to two of our incredible trainers.

Ben is stepping into a new challenge as a Project Manager, and Renee is heading off on a secondment coaching rugby in Japan.

While we’re going to miss you both around the gym, we are backing you all the way! On behalf of your Bay Boxfit whanau, thank you both for everything you’ve brought - your knowledge, your time, your passion and the incredible value you add.
