Quick-fire with RAW member, Lillee.
Fav RAW class?
CrossFit. I enjoy the lift/skill component alongside the WOD, as it gives me the chance to focus on and practice specific movements, rather than only working on them within the WOD. That said, a cheeky capacity class definitely goes hard too, you’re guaranteed a good sweat.
Outside the gym?
You’ll usually find me working shifts as an ICU nurse or out for coffee. Training at Raw helps me find balance, both mentally and physically, especially after a long shift.
Fav thing about RAW?
Being part of the RAW Whānau. The values and vibe of the gym make it feel like a home away from home. After a hectic day, you can always count on a good laugh when you walk in and leave feeling uplifted.
A standout memory for me would be Team Nats last year. Watching the RAW teams place was awesome, but what really stood out was the sportsmanship and atmosphere during the finals. The encouragement and support at RAW is truly unmatched.
