Zouk Workshops & Social Dancing

Hamilton Salsa is thrilled to be hosting Kat & Patrick this Saturday 5th September, at Puu Toi, 145 London St.

Workshop 1: 1 PM - 2.30 PM
Social Dancing/ Practica 2.30 PM - 3 PM

Workshop 2: 3 PM - 4.30 PM
Social dancing/ Practica 4.30 PM - 5 PM

These workshops are progressive, starting with more basic beginner friendly movements at 1 PM.

The workshops are rotational so you don't need to bring a partner.

Price, $60, 2x workshops, $30, 1x workshop
Cash and bank transfer accepted.

Kat and Patrick met in Rio de Janeiro last year and started training before Patrick moved to NZ. Since being reunited in NZ they have continued training, and teaching, sharing their knowledge and passion for Zouk. They have taught at Zouk Central and multiple dance weekenders.

They teach regular classes at ZoukBoost dance school, Tauranga, and teach privates in their spare time. They enjoy teaching the fundamentals in a way that adds the Rio flavour and grove to the dance, and are excited to get the Hamilton dance scene up and dancing more Zouk!

Announcing the
Hamilton Salsa NZ 2026, Bachata Performance Team

If you are passionate about dancing Bachata and are looking for an option to upskill your social dancing, then this team is for you!

We are all about enjoying the music, and giving you the skills to have great social dances. This couples choreography is a fun entertaining routine, full of socially danceable moves.
The performance team will have the chance to perform at local events and upcoming dance events/festivals, such as the Bay Salsa Festival.

Practices will be once a week, typically on a Tuesday evening or Sunday afternoon, and twice a week closer to the performance day.

You don't need a partner to join.
Beginner dancers are encouraged to join!
All Welcome!

Costs
Training - $150 this covers venue hire and teachers time
Performance Pass - This is a full event/festival pass ~$200
Costume and shoes - TBC

First practice and information meeting, Saturday 15th August, 4pm,
venue tbc.
