Wow, what a JAM-PACKED Weekend,
Nam Wah Pai Fams.

Last weekend we had the privilege of hosting our NZ Chief Jard Haar and our National Club Instructors right here in Hamilton. For a 2day Senior Training Session & Syllabus update
/ review for 2026.
It was great to see us all come together and share our passion for our Nam Wah Pai Kung Fu,
Shaolin Art.

To top it all off — we had TWO of our Hamilton students step up for their
Black Belt Grading - Michael & Kennedy.

And we also had one of our Senior Instructors Jason from Whakatane Club - Pushed even further, sitting his 5th Degree Grading — a true testament to dedication, discipline, and years of hard work.

Our Chief will be back in Hamilton on Wednesday night (tomorrow ) to offically present their Certificates & Black Belts.

Hello NWP Club Members & Fams.

As martial artists, we all know that improving our skills goes far beyond what happens inside the Dojo or training space. To truly grow, you must work on all aspect of your training — and one of the most important is flexibility.

Flexibility isn’t just about kicking higher. It improves your balance, speed, control, and reduces your risk of injury. Whether you're practicing forms, sparring, or self-defence techniques, good flexibility allows your body to move with fluidity and power.

But flexibility doesn’t come from training only in class. It requires consistent work outside the dojo small daily habits that compound into huge improvements.

Stretch in the morning, after training, or even while watching TV.
The more you commit to it, the faster your overall martial arts ability will grow.

To become the best martial artist you can be, you need to develop flexibility, strength, endurance, mindset, and technique. Treat flexibility as one of your core pillars. The more mobile and agile your body becomes, the more confident, powerful, and effective you’ll be.

Keep training hard — inside and outside the dojo. Your future self will thank you. 🥋🔥
