After viewing players from approximately 75 school and representative teams at various tournaments and leagues, Netball WBOP Zone Pathways are pleased to invite the following players to one of two Magic in the Making Development sessions. Invite spots were very competitive this year!!

UNISS - Umpires:

Our umpires have had a fantastic week at UNISS. Making great connections with other umpires, getting extra coaching pointers and representing our Centre umpires well!

Special CONGRATS to Saadya who is named to umpire the C Grade Final!! The C & D grade finals are allocated to the top student umpires, so an amazing achievement to be allocated to this game.

UNISS recap Day 4:

Teams played Round 3 yesterday to determine their seeding into the top or bottom half of their sections.

GGHS had 2 wins over Otamatea (41-36) and Western Springs College to finish 2nd in their pool and move to the B Grade 9th-12th semis today. They play One Tree Hill College 9.30am this morning (livestream on court 7) in their semi.

Manutuke also had 2 wins yesterday against Albany Snr High (38-36) and Massey High (29-28) to move to the B Grade 25th-28th semis today. They play Tuakau College at 9.30am this morning.

Campion had 2 losses yesterday to finish 4th in their Round 3 pool after playing Tokoroa (32-20) and Te Wharekura o Mauao (27-13) and move to the 21-24th semis. They face Marist Invitation at 11.30am.

Hawaiki Hou had 2 wins in Round 3 against Pompallier College (24-16) and TKKM o Huiarau (39-11) to move to the 25th-28th semis today. They face Fairfield College at 11.30am for their semi.

UNISS Recap Day 3:

Teams played the last 2 games of Round 2 yesterday..

GGHS played Kerikeri High (36-32 loss) and Hobsonville Point Secondary (31-28 win) to finish 4th in their pool. They've moved to the 9-16th bracket for today's games at 10.30am and 3.30pm.

Manutuke played Rutherford College (41-27 loss) and Matamata College (44-17 loss) to finish 4th in their pool. They are in the 25-32 group for today with games at 10.30am and 3.30pm.

Campion played Elim Christian College (37-13 win) and Northland College (30-23 win) to finish 2nd in their pool. They play in the 17-24th group today at 8.30am and 1.30pm.

Hawaiki Hou played Bream Bay College (30-17 loss) and Pinehurst School (28-23 loss) to finish 4th in their pool. They play in the 25-32 bracket today at 8.30am and 1.30pm.

UNISS Recap Day 2:

Day 2 saw the completion of Round 1 of games and teams reseeded for Round 2.

GGHS - had a 38-27 win over Waiuku College to finish 1st in their pool and move to Round 2 in the 1-16 group of B Grade. Their first Round 2 game was vs Cambridge Prems and was a close match finishing with a 30-26 loss. Games today are at 12pm and 6.30pm.

Manutuke had a loss to Whangarei 45-22 to finish 4th in their pool and have moved to the 17-32 group of B Grade for round 2. They played Pakuranga Premier yesterday afternoon and lost 38-28. They play today at 12pm and 4.30pm (this match is live streamed on Court 3).

Campion finished round 1 4th after a 23-14 loss to Glenfield College and have moved to the 17-32 group for Round 2. Their first game of the round was against Tai Wananga which finished as a 26-17 loss. They Play Elim Christian College at 10am and Northland at 2.30pm today.

Hawaiki Hou finished 3rd in their Round 1 pool after a 22-21 loss to Fairfield College. They are also in the 17-32 group of D Grade and yesterday lost their first game of the round 23-12 to Ormiston College. They play today at 10am and 2.30pm also.

UNISS Recap Day 1:

Our teams had a tough day 1 with the weather starting cold and rainy.

B Grade:
GGHS took 2 wins over Takapuna Grammar (29-25) and Pakuranga Prem (31-23). Manutuke had 2 losses to Orewa (26-21) and Cambridge (42-19).

D Grade:
Campion had 2 losses to Katikati College (28-23) and Marist (24-23) while Hawaiki Hou had a draw with Whangamata (19-19) and loss to TKKM o Honai Waititi (25-15).

Teams play their last games of Round 1 this morning before being reseeded for Round 2 this afternoon.

Our GNC Umpires Dee, Iri, Lu, Ma and Saadya are also representing GNC umpiring at the tournament. Wishing them all the best too! 🤩

WM VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH - AUGUST:

CONGRATULATIONS to Zeva Peard for being our August winner.

Zeva is one of our most reliable Youth Advisory Group members. She has been involved with our centre over a few seasons now, and always puts her hand up to help and support events or programmes. Zeva joined our junior umpire group this year and was the only one to attain her Centre Badge. She also coaches an intermediate team for her school and gets involved wherever she can. She was here on finals day to help with set up and benching for a game.

Thank you for all that you do to support our Centre Zeva 🤩
