CO2 vs Electric Bike Pumps… which one actually belongs in your ride kit?

Electric bike pumps are changing the game—but they’re not perfect.

⚡️ Electric Pump – Pros:
• Reusable (no single-use cartridges)
• Precise pressure control every time
• No stress under pressure trailside
• Great for beginners + consistency

⚡️ Electric Pump – Cons:
• Needs charging 🔋
• Slightly heavier in your pack
• Slower than CO2 in emergencies
• More expensive upfront

💨 CO2 – Pros:
• Fast inflation (race-ready quick)
• Lightweight + compact
• Simple, no charging needed

💨 CO2 – Cons:
• One-time use (hope you don’t mess it up)
• Easy to overinflate
• Ongoing cost of cartridges
• Not ideal for practice or multiple flats
