Have you checked your body composition recently? At Inception Gym, we offer free body scans to all members, providing valuable insights into your health and progress.

These non-invasive scans give precise data to help you track fitness improvements. Our supportive staff are always available to guide you and answer any questions.

How does it work, what does it do?

Our BIACN Biometric Scanner uses electromagnetic pulses through the foot pads and hand grips to measure body composition, including body fat, muscle mass, and hydration levels.

The BIACN feature stands for Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis with Cellular Nutrition. This advanced function provides deeper insights into:
🔸 BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) – Segmental fat analysis (subcutaneous and visceral), lean muscle mass, and water balance.
🔸 CN (Cellular Nutrition) – Assesses hydration, mineral content, muscle quality, and overall cellular health.

Why does this matter?

A reminder that Inception Gym will be unstaffed on Monday the 2nd of June for King’s Birthday. We will be returning to our normal staffed hours again at 8am on Tuesday the 3rd of June.

Members will still have 24/7 access via scanning their QR codes outside the door. For non-members, Day Passes can be purchased via the app for access to the facility.

Progress in the gym isn’t always a straight line — and that’s completely normal. Your body adapts to training, and what worked last month might not work forever. As you get stronger, gains slow down. Add in factors like sleep, stress, and nutrition, and it’s easy to see why progress can feel unpredictable. Plateaus happen, but they’re not a sign of failure — they’re a sign your body needs time to recover and reset. That’s where smart strategies like deload weeks come in. The key is consistency over time, not constant PBs. So if you’re not lifting heavier every session, don’t stress. Focus on showing up, recovering well, and playing the long game. Trust the process — real progress takes patience, not perfection. 💪

Meet Pauline – one of our vibrant morning regulars and a true inspiration in the gym! Pauline’s been with us for over a year and a half, and you’ll often catch her starting her day with purpose and positivity here at Inception Gym.

A retired health sector worker, Pauline uses her mornings to move her body and boost her mental and physical wellbeing. “I work out for my mental and physical health – it gives me energy and strength,” she shares. Her morning routine? Absolutely non-negotiable. “It sets me up for the day.”

Outside the gym, Pauline spends her afternoons with friends and family and makes yearly visits to Australia to see her adult son and two beautiful grandchildren.

Her favourite thing about Inception Gym? “The friendliness of the people.” ❤️

Her message to others, especially women: “I want to encourage women, particularly older women, to try lifting weights and lifting heavy. There are so many benefits of it and you just need to give it a go to find out.” She also pointed out that consistency is key. Small sessions over 5 days a week is far better than one big burst.
