For those who are new here. Wild Pilates started with two reformer studios in Auckland, New Zealand in 2017 and since then has grown into a full time online studio.

As you can see we love to film expert-led classes in the wild. This is where achievement meets escape 🌊

Pilates Ball Crunch. Here’s how to do it properly. 🤍

You’ll find this exercise in so many of our challenging classes. Here are my top tips to get the most out of it every time.

(Not suitable for pre or postnatal)

🤍 Ball position: right to the base of your shoulder blades. You want enough range of movement as you lean back over the ball, and enough instability to create a challenge without rolling everywhere.

🤍 Spine position: this is everything. Getting this right is what actually activates your deep core muscles.

🤍 Breathing: always exhale and engage your deep core as you crunch up. The breath is what helps to engage the muscles.

We’re focusing on:

🤍 360 breathing to engage the pelvic floor and deep abs, making sure they connect is the most important part

🤍 Oblique strengthening

🤍 Core work with head down
