Today marks the start of Breastfeeding Awareness Week, and we sat down with Unity co-owner Sophie because we get it - breastfeeding can be hard on the body.

All 6 classes are at foundations level, and the cycle repeats once complete - so you can jump in whenever suits you, no matter where the cycle is at!

Over these six classes, you’ll build a strong foundation in Reformer Pilates through a consistent, repeating sequence - perfect for developing real strength, mobility, and confidence on the machine.

Let’s talk pelvic floor!

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles that support your bladder, bowel and sexual function - and when it’s not working well, it can affect your whole life. Urgency, leakage, pelvic pain, or issues following child birth or prostate surgery are so much more common than people realise, but that doesn’t mean they’re something you just have to live with.

At Unity Studios, we see people every week who’ve quietly been managing these symptoms , sometimes thinking it’s “just normal” after having kids, getting older, or recovering from surgery. It’s not something to be embarrassed about, and it’s absolutely something that can be assessed and treated.

Unity’s pelvic floor physios love helping people get back to feeling like themselves! Whether that’s running without leaking, sitting through a movie without urgency, or simply feeling more confident in your body again.

Free Class for Teachers-in-Training 😍

It takes a lot of work to become a teacher, and we love nothing more than supporting the newbies!

Unity is a teaching studio for pelvic health physiotherapists and Pilates instructors. As well as maintaining our own teaching standards, we also mentor the next generation of teachers.

Our lead trainer, Shanelle, is an educator for Polestar Pilates NZ and many of our team members hold high qualifications with Polestar Pilates and other esteemed, internationally recognised training bodies.

You may occasionally see teachers-in-training observing or assisting in classes. This reflects our commitment to excellence!

This is why we offer FREE “Teachers in Training” classes on our timetable. By the time students lead these sessions, they’ve completed well over 200 hours of learning and coursework and a certified mentor is always on-site to oversee, guide and assist as needed.

Come try a free class and help shape the next generation of instructors!
