What a day for Clara Ladies!! This evening our second adult ladies team headed for Aughrim for the Division 4 cup semi final and what a display they put on.

Taking the game by storm from the throw in, these girls never let up! Constant work rate on and off the ball resulted in a savage team performance. An excellent 60 minutes of football seen Clara ladies run out deserving winners. We now have two cup finals to look forward to!

What a day, what a club, up Clara!馃挍馃挌馃挍馃挌

Our adult ladies booked their place in the Division 2 Cup Final this morning following a hard-fought victory over An T贸char in Roundwood.

In front of a strong crowd, both sides produced an entertaining contest with little separating the teams throughout. An T贸char made the brighter start, with points and a goal helping them establish an early lead. Clara responded well and reduced the deficit but An T贸char drove on and led by 8 at half time.

The second half continued at a high intensity, with both teams battling for every ball. Clara grew into the game and began to close the gap, putting a serious press on the An T贸char kickout.

The game turned when goals came from Anna, Patrice and Natalie giving Clara a significant boost. In the dying minutes An T贸char threw everything at us but Clara ran out deserving winners. We now march onto the final on Sunday the 14th.

What a brilliant performance from our U12 Green team this morning against Annacurra.

From start to finish, the girls showed fantastic skill and determination, never giving up on any ball and constantly encouraging and helping each other out all over the pitch.

Thanks also to the great support from the sidelines, encouraging every girl to do their best.

And a special mention to the fantastic attitude from everyone involved, with the referee commenting on what a lovely, respectful group we have.

Well done to all. 馃挌馃挍馃挌馃挍

Our U14s played 脡ire Og in their 4th League game of the season over the bank holiday weekend in Avondale.

Another very close contest on a scoreline of Clara 3-12 脡ire Og 4-9 with both clubs sharing the points on this occasion.

There were so many good points on how we approached and played this match, we鈥檙e starting to get into a routine. The warm up really begins an hour before throw in as they enter the dressing room. The players have 20 minutes where Sarah, Noeleen & Brenda have the girls feeling stress free, calm and focused (with Spotify banging out the tune鈥檚 on whoever鈥檚 turn it is to connect 馃槄)

On the pitch they come in their own, and use every bit of energy available to them, in doing so they get the supporters all shook up, and the words - how close was that, what a tackle, what a save, how long is left, what鈥檚 the score now- are regularly on the tip of people鈥檚 tongue鈥檚 猸愶笍

We hope to see everyone in Balinacor on Friday evening for our next U14 League match V Blessington (6.45pm throw in)

A busy couple of weeks for our fantastic u12s, with both green and yellow teams in action.

League matches vs St Nicks and Newcastle and a challenge this morning vs Naomh Eoin Gaels.

Great to see their confidence and skills improving with every match, brilliant teamwork and determination from every girl.

Special congratulations also to 3 girls playing and loving their 1st ever matches not just for Clara but in LGFA!
