I hope you’re all looking forward to the year ahead.
Before we kick off the new season, I just want to let you know that we’ll be hosting our Dinner Dance again this year. We would love to welcome everyone from the club and the wider community to join us for what promises to be a great night.

Last night Newcastle Juvenile GAA Club held their end of season awards in the Parish Hall. There was great excitement as firstly our All Star group took to the stage followed by Castle Kickers and then all age groups.
Big thank you to all the coaches for their commitment during the season, the smiles and cheering during the evening are a testament to the time and effort that you put in. Big thank also to Reverent Ross for the use of the hall and the facilities.
Finally a massive thank you to everyone who helped arrange the event and helped out on the night.

The rescheduled Newcastle GAA Juvenile awards will take place on Friday 28th of November, starting at 18:30. The venue once again will be the Parish Centre (next to St Francis school).

The Newcastle Juvenile GAA awards scheduled for this evening has being cancelled. The focus for the local community today is the safe return home of Gabe Setia who has been missing since yesterday.

Our club would like to extend a sincere thank you to SuperValu Charlesland for their generous support of our U14s LGFA team.

Their kind contribution of new socks to match our jerseys ensured our players looked their best on the field as they went on to win the Championship! 🏆💪

We also greatly appreciated the treats provided for our after-party, which made for a fantastic celebration to round off an unforgettable season. 🎉

🏆 COUNTY CHAMPIONS!!!! 💙💛

What a day for our Newcastle U14 girls, who are now officially County Champions! 🎉

The girls prepared brilliantly for the big game – a few nerves as expected, but the focus and determination were clear from the start. The opening minutes were end-to-end before Kate K fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner to get us off the mark.

Coolkenno fought back hard, but our defence stood strong with incredible performances from Emily B and Kate D. Elsa then showed her class to add another goal, and with Emmie and Fia chipping in on the scoresheet, we went into half time leading 2-4 to 1-1.

Straight after the throw-in, Elsa struck again, settling the team into their rhythm. Coolkenno never gave up and kept the pressure on, but our girls showed true Newcastle championship spirit – digging deep, working for each other, and picking off some fantastic scores.

Final score: Newcastle 4-7 | Coolkenno 3-4 👏

A special mention to our amazing goalkeeper Katelyn Byrne, who was outstanding throughout – every time the ball came near the box, she seemed to come out with it!! 🧤💪

We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group of girls – their teamwork, attitude, and spirit were second to none. 💙💛
