Our Over-35s season came to an end with a cup final defeat at the hands of an excellent Willow Park side on Saturday evening.
We want to congratulate the winning Willow side on a hugely deserved win. Thanks also to managers Tony Smith assisted by Eamonn Dunne who guided the lads to second spot in the league as well as the cup final defeat.
A huge thank you to Al Minihan for supplying the team throughout the season and finally we want to acknowledge the continued support of John Edward Moloney and all the staff at Moloney's Gaelic Bar for putting on a great night of food and drinks for the team on Saturday as well as their long-standing sponsorship of our club activities. Thanks John and staff, it’s hugely appreciated.

Our Over-35s side hope to round off a fantastic season as they head to Tullamore today for the Cup Final against Willow Park.
Both sides made it to the final the hard way. Willow finished runners up in the Northern Division, meaning they travelled to Southern Division winners Portlaoise where they secured their place in the final with a 1-0 win.
Our lads finished second behind Portlaoise meaning they had to travel to face Northern winners Clara Town and upset the form book with a brilliant 3-2 win.
The lads would love a bit of local support so why not make the short trip to Leah Victoria Park this afternoon to cheer the lads on in their quest for the Cup. 💙💛

🎙️ On Air with Midlands 103! 💙💛

Our Chairman, Tom Christle, and Darren Young from Mountmellick Road Runners were on Midlands 103 to chat about the upcoming Mountmellick Road Race, taking place on Sunday, September 13th, as well as the ongoing fundraising efforts for the club.

The lads did a fantastic job highlighting what promises to be a brilliant event, while also helping to spread the word about our fundraising efforts.
