Castletown Ballyagran GAA Grounds Work
We are happy to inform you that works are still continuing on our walkway surface, lighting works, and now nearing completion. Plus, also now in process of installing new ball stop nets behind both goals in main field. Unfortunately, during these works, access to some areas around the pitch may still be restricted at different times over the next few weeks approx. and it will not be possible to complete a lap of the field. We ask that you respect all signage and do not interfere with any temporary fencing put in place for the duration of the works.
Scrap Metal Collection on Sat. 19th Sept. ‘26
Our CTB GAA Juvenile and Ladies Football Club(s) are now organising a scrap metal collection on Saturday 19th Sept. ’26. So suggest can you now start to gather all your metal scrap and then bring to the CTB GAA Clubhouse on the day between 10am and 3pm, as there will be a big skip to load your scrap into thank you. This is a great way to clear up any scrap metal you may happen to have lying around in or outside your house, in your garden, back shed and so on, and tidy up before the winter sets in, and also great way to provide much needed funding to the Juvenile and Ladies Football Club(s). Please use your judgement but definitely do NOT bring any tyres, fridges, TV’s, or gas cylinders of any type please as these will NOT be accepted thank you.
Juvenile GAA Weekly Lotto Draw
Our CTB Juvenile Weekly Lotto Draw with lotto prize money of €12,300 took place in our clubhouse last Thursday Evening, 3rd Sept. ‘26. Numbers Drawn were: 7, 11, 14, and 21, and we had no jackpot winner, so weekly lucky dip winners were: €50 - Joan Fitzgerald, Ballyagran, €20 - Brenda Carroll, Castletown, €20 - Eileen Collins (ONLINE)
€20 - Edmond O'Donnell, Castletown (ONLINE). Next Lotto Draw is for a lovely €12,400, and this will take place in our clubhouse this Thursday Evening, 10th Sept. 2026.

CLUB Limerick Draw for 2026
The latest Limerick Draw took place last Saturday Morning 29th August July ’26, and congratulations to Synnott who won 1st prize of €10,000. Also well done to all the other luck 29 winners.
Camogie’s Split the Bucket Aug. ‘26
Camogie Split the Bucket for Aug. ’26 Draw took place last Tuesday Evening 1st Sept. ’26, and congratulations to Claire O’Donnell who won a lovely €235. As always Ballyagran Camogie Club really appreciate everyone who supports this vital fundraiser thank you.

Our next Monster Bingo fundraiser will be on Wednesday the 9th October 2026 at the Charleville Park Hotel in Charlleville. Following feedback from our wonderful supporters, we will have a NEW start time of 8:00pm.

Woodlands House Hotel County Premier Junior A Hurling Championship Group 1
Our Junior Premier A Hurlers had a very balanced performance especially in the second half, last Friday Evening 4th Sept. ’26 in Ballingarry, with final score CTB 4.16 (28) Askeaton Ballysteen Kilcornan .13 (13). This result means that we are now in the quarterfinal stage of the championships. So well done to Management team, all players on panel plus thank you as always to all who came to Ballingarry to support this team.
County Junior C Hurling Championship
Our Junior C Hurlers produced another very good performance in an exciting game in Athlacca last Saturday Evening 5th Sept. ’26, but unfortunately came up just short with the narrowest of margins, as final score was Dromin Athlacca 2.11 (17) CTB .16 (16). Well done to Donagh Feehan, rest of management team plus every player who togged out thank you. Also, do appreciate all those who travelled to support this team.
County Minor C Hurling Championship Semi Final Result.
Killacolla Gaels 0-14 v Monagea 2-28 on Wednesday 09/09/26 at Raheenagh.
Unfortunately no joy for our Minors against a very strong Monagea team.
Junior Camogie Team Championship 3rd Round.
The Ballyagran Junior A Camogie team faced a strong Ballybrown team on their home soil last Saturday Evening 5th Sept. ’26, with final score Ballybrown 3.11 (20) Ballyagran 1.06 (9). Thanks to all involved plus all supporters who travelled.

Woodlands House Hotel County Premier Junior A Football Championship Group 2
Our Junior A Footballers are now out in round 5 of this Championship, when they face St. Patricks this Sunday Evening 13th Sept. ’26, throw in at 5pm, and venue is Crecora (Eircode V94 EH95). This is a must win game if we are to progress to the Quarter Final Stages, so really appreciate all support here and best wishes to Manager Trevor Hughes and all else involved. You can purchase tickets for this game through the Limerick GAA website or the Universe website this year.
