Galway Tribes women Played Dublin blues Women on Saturday in what became a challenge due to logistical problems for Blues travelling " The league fixture will now be played on the 4th July."
In only their 2nd game of Rugby League The Blues Competed in all aspects of the Game tackling hard and attacking with pace.
The Tribeswomen with 5 or 6 new comers to league were in control throughout tho with Irish Internationals Aifric Ni Ghibne , Holly Odwyer and Stacy Hanley controlling play and structure.
The game was very fast paced from Tribes at times and the inexperienced Blues found it hard to slow their momentum. In the early parts of the game Tribes were dominant in attack and Defence.
That said the Blues have the makings of a very good team and their grit saw them win the last 20 minutes of play. The game is on Youtube and well worth a watch.

Match Report for Tribes v Cork Bulls Rugby League
Tribes are missing team Captain Kyle Barrett after finger operation and last years Captain Abdul-haq Abayomi with a long term calf injury and Allen Lagaaia with a knee injury. So a pretty fresh looking team fielded yesterday
Cork bulls made the long travel to Galway and Started strong with the opening Try and conversion in The first minute. This sparked Tribes into life though and the first half saw Tribes dominant in both defence and attack
Cameron Brill the Tribes row was a collossus in the middle in both d and Attack.
Patrick Daly in his first game of Rugby league carried with immense power and every time he got on ball he was a danger.
The Halves Joe Gilmartin and Tyler Cotterill moved the squad around with skill and maturity meaning Tribes attack could come from anywhere on the pitch.
Hamish Judd was moved this week from fullback to 13 and caused havoc throughout attacking the line with strong aggression and tackling like a Tasmanian devil.
Cam Cameron Carruthers moved fro 6 to 4 was an absolute handfull for the Defending Bulls with quick feet and very hard to stop. Both Starting wings Rex Aghabueze and Jack Rosney were on the Score sheet early on the back of well concieved plays
The score at half time was 42 - 6 and then the Bulls woke up they came out Strong with very hard carries particurly from the Big 10 and and 11 they starting to dominate in the contacts for long periods and Tribes mistakes under pressure gave them a lot of field advantage. Bulls had a very strong 20mins and scored 3 unanswered tries. Tribes Defence then switched back on and started to control the contact again led by Patrick Fahy and the ever reliable Cameron Brill.
The Game Ended 48 - 28 .
A lot of work still to be done by This very young Tribes Team but the future is looking Bright.
On a side note Great to see referee Jason Craughwell back on the field after a 5 year haitus. Welcome back sir
