Wishing all our friends and club mates the best of luck as they take on a 55k ultra marathon on Sunday as part of a ‘Triathlon DNA’ trip away.: Neil and Laura, Donal, Paddy G, Gail, Claire, Siobhan, Jean, Luke and Lukasz.
This event is on the island of Tiree, one of the Hebrides, off the west coast of Scotland. They will run around the perimeter of the island and through 14 beaches. Neil tells me that’s the selling point of the race but I’d call that a form of torture ( running on sand!😂). Here’s the little plane they got from Glasgow to the island🙈.
Remember guys ‘pain is temporary, pride is permanent’💪🏼💪🏼 have a ball

Tri Lakes were out in force on Sunday at Lough Key Triathlon. It was a really super event, the weather held up, the organisers and marshalls were class, the atmosphere was great!
Angela was 3rd lady home, Neil, our head coach, and Mark came 3rd in the relay and Anne Marie was 1st in her age category.
Great to see our new members out racing too.

On behalf of everyone at Tri Lakes, we would like to extend our deepest condolences on the sudden passing of Andrew Carney.

Andrew’s sister, Jennifer, was a valued member of Tri Lakes and has remained a great friend of the club ever since.

Andrew was a highly regarded teacher at St Jarlath’s and made an enormous contribution to the wider Tuam community through his involvement in many clubs and societies. A true gentleman, Andrew was held in the highest regard by all who knew him, and his passing is a profound loss to his family, friends and the entire community of Tuam.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim, Claire, Jennifer, Morgan and Jamie, and with the extended Carney and Hynes families at this very difficult time.

‘Padel & Pub’ … thanks for organising such a fun, sociable and sporting evening Jean Coleman.
Thanks to Conor and Thomas of The Padel Factory for running a fun tournament for us and teaching us the basics of Padel. I think it’s safe to say lots of us will be making a return visit.
And thanks to Dave at Dave Bridge Coen for looking after us so well. Always such a pleasure to deal with.
And congrats to the winners on the night Orla Heneghan and Paul Quinn 👏🏆
