Our U12A team came away with a fantastic 2-1 victory over a tough Rivers Celtic in wet and windy conditions today! 🌧️💨

Our first goal came from our rock-solid centre-back Kallum Cambridge, who finished off a set-piece routine that worked out perfectly to put us 1-0 up. 💪⚽️

Rivers Celtic fought back and soon levelled the game at 1-1, setting up a tense finish.

Then, with just 5 minutes to go, Jack O’Mahony produced a brilliant individual run, taking on two defenders before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner to seal the victory! 🔥⚽️

A fantastic team effort from start to finish, and three very valuable points in the bag! 👏🖤🤍

Well done lads — brilliant character and determination! 💪

Last year’s Munster Senior League Player of the Year, Dan Ryan, has been a key figure throughout our FAI Intermediate Cup run, featuring in every round and contributing four goals along the way 💪

Dan’s goals have come at some crucial moments, including an extra-time winner against Montpelier, the opener against Sacred Heart and a brace in our semi-final victory over St Mochtas, with his second proving to be the winner that sent us into the final.

One more game to go. Can Dan add to his tally on the biggest stage? 👀

Our 14 prem finished off a hectic start to the season today when league leaders Kinsale visited. We were short a few regulars but the boys started well but fell behind to a scrappy goal. Second half kinsale started well and went two up. This seemed to wake our lads up and they produced a storming finish. Charlie continued his good scoring form to convert a pen and bring it back to 2-1. We pushed hard to get an equalizer in the final moments but couldn’t break down a resolute Kinsale side. Game finished 2-1, but our lads left everything out there.

We match on ⚽️🖤🤍

CSL U15 Division 7

St. Mary's 6 - 5 Wilton United

Having been unlucky to lose a five goal thriller in their opening league game, St. Mary's U15s this time came out the right side of an 11 goal game!!
Mary's started brightly, in complete control, and after 5 minutes, Riley Hourigan opened the scoring after great work from Riley Merlihan. Soon after, Sahil Shaikh made it 2-0 finishing off a super through ball from Jake Carey.
Wilton did manage to pull one back after a mix-up at the back, before Sahil deservedly restored the two goal cushion after 28 minutes. Charlie Duffy made it 4-1 shortly before the break, finishing one of Mason Heaphy's dangerous corner kicks to the net.
Wilton were handed a lifeline with a very dubious penalty after halftime to make it 4-2, and another lack of concentration soon made it 4-3! But Shane O'Gorman put nerves at ease when he finished another scramble from a Mason corner kick.
But to their credit, back came Wilton. Playing some good football, they made it 5-4, before Sahil completed his hat-trick with a brilliant top-corner finish. Wilton did add another with the final kick of the game, but Mary's came away with a deserved 3 points.
Some excellent performances from Davin Healy O'Leary and Duffy at the back. Jake impressed in the middle with a few great deliveries. Mason's set-pieces were invaluable, while the two Rileys put in tireless shifts on the wings. Blake worked hard up front, but man-of-the-match must go to hat-trick hero Sahil.
Well done to all the lads, a hard earned 3 points in the end! Up and running for the season!!! 👏👏👏

Under 12 Premier team St Marys won 2 1 away to Avondale.

Avondale took an early lead in the first half. The lads came back into the gane brilliantly and had a few decent to equalise. Another day they would of taken those chances.

One the stroke of half time we scored through Bryons headed goal ar the back post from Paddys free.

In the second half Bryon got on the end of a cross from Paddy to put us 2 1 which we thoroughly deserved.

To Avondales credit they pushed till the end but the lads dug in deep to claim all 3 points. Every player played their part today.

We have 2 games this week at home to Leeside Thursday and Ringmahon Sunday at home.

Hon the saints 🖤🤍⚽️

The goals that sealed another cup victory for the Juniors.

John O’Sullivan opened the scoring with a stunning effort from just inside the box, curling the ball into the top corner before Brady Walsh reacted quickest to fire home the winner.

Sit back and enjoy the goals 🔥
