🚨 175KM SOLO?! VAN DER POEL IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. 🤯🇳🇱

This wasn't a normal breakaway.

Mathieu van der Poel attacked almost immediately in the final stage of the 2026 Tour de Luxembourg… and basically said goodbye to the peloton. 😂

The stage was 177km long, and MVDP went clear around 2km after the start.

That meant roughly 175 KILOMETERS ALONE. 😳

No teammates.
No group to rotate with.
Just Mathieu vs. the entire race.

Six riders tried to chase him, but they couldn't bridge. Even after those chasers were caught with 45km remaining, Van der Poel still had around 3:30 advantage.

And somehow…

THE PELOTON NEVER CAUGHT HIM.

He survived all the way to Luxembourg-Limpertsberg to take his second stage victory of the race, after already winning Stage 1.

The funniest part?

THIS WASN'T EVEN THE PLAN. 😂

Van der Poel said he simply found himself alone early, settled into his own tempo and, when the gap started growing again, decided to commit completely.

And remember the timing…

🌈 The World Championship road race in Montréal is next.

MVDP has already said the Montréal course may be difficult for his characteristics, but riding essentially an entire stage alone just days before Worlds is one hell of a demonstration of form.

Maybe the biggest question isn't whether Mathieu has the legs…

It's what happens if everyone lets him get even a small gap in Montréal. 👀🌈

We have two full-time positions available starting ASAP for the right candidates.
1. Experienced Mechanic.
We’re looking for a dedicated mechanic, confident assembling and servicing high-end bikes. You should have prior experience in this position, including experience with Di2 and SRAM e-Tap systems. Our service centre is always bustling, so you should be confident hitting the ground running and be able to work well under pressure.
2. Experienced Sales Assistant.
We’re looking for an experienced sales assistant with excellent customer service skills and a good level of product knowledge. You should be genuinely interested in cycling and be able to distil technical information for customers. If you have worked with high-end road and e-bikes before, this is a bonus.
We’re a small and passionate bike shop with a growing customer base. You’ll get to work with like-minded people, enjoy a bustling atmosphere and a generous staff discount. Salary dependant on experience.
