Cork County Council, in partnership with Cork City Council, Swim Ireland, Cork Sports Partnership and FMG Consulting, is inviting members of the public to participate in a survey as part of the ongoing Cork Swimming Strategy.

The strategy is a high-level strategic study examining current indoor public swimming provision across Cork City and County and considering future demand and planning requirements up to 2040.

The study is assessing ⤵️

▪️| Current swimming pool provision and accessibility;
▪️| participation trends;
▪️| school and club demand;
▪️| learn-to-swim capacity;
▪️| infrastructure condition;
▪️| and broader future planning considerations.

The public survey follows recent consultation with schools and clubs and aims to gather feedback from residents regarding current experiences of indoor swimming provision across Cork.

The strategy is intended to inform future planning and prioritisation discussions only. Any future investment considerations arising from the strategy would be subject to future funding availability, policy direction, detailed assessment and competing priorities.

The survey is open for responses through to 21st June 🗓️
