Congratulations to all of our prize winners, and well done to everyone who took part. Whether you were competing for the prizes or simply enjoying the games, your participation is what makes the club such a welcoming and enjoyable place to play.

A special thank you to The Ivy Tower Hotel for hosting us throughout the season and providing us with a fantastic venue for our events.

As we take a break for the summer, I would like to thank everyone for their support, enthusiasm, and good sportsmanship over the past season. It has been great to see new players joining, familiar faces returning, and the club continuing to grow.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing you again when the new season begins.

Our Summer Rapid is just around the corner, and we'd love to see you there! This will be our final meeting before we take a break for the summer, so it's the perfect opportunity to get one more tournament in before the sunshine, holidays, and outdoor adventures take over. We've had a fantastic season at Castlebar Chess Club and it's been great to see so many new and familiar faces around the boards. Let's finish it off with a fun, competitive evening and send everyone into the summer break with some memorable games.

Thank you all for coming along to our 2026 Easter Rapid Chess Tournament! It was a fantastic evening with a great atmosphere, plenty of focus across the boards, and some seriously competitive games throughout. Thank you again to everyone who played, helped set up, or supported from the sidelines. These events continue to grow because of you. We’ll see you all at the next club meeting for casual games in two weeks!
