- We are a not-for-profit Clay Target Shooting Club, actively engaged in the Sport of Clay Target Shooting and the promotion of the Sport both locally and Nationally.
- We are affiliated to the ICTSA, the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport
on the island of Ireland. The ICTSA is affiliated
to Sport Ireland www.sportireland.ie

and a number of other sports organisations.
- Our aims are the long-term promotion of the SPORT of Clay Target shooting at the most affordable cost, the introduction of people to the many shooting disciplines, both Olympic and non-Olympic, and the safe participation and enjoyment of the sport, with a pathway to the more serious International and Olympic end of the sport.
- Clay Target shooting involves shooting with a shotgun at moving inanimate targets for recreation or competition, in a controlled environment, from designated Shooting Stands (positions), on predetermined shooting layouts, on a shooting range and under strict safety rules and disciplinary codes.
- We host National Shooting Competitions for the ICTSA, which are open to all members of the ICTSA, and affiliated Associations from all over Ireland and abroad/
- We also run practice shoots every weekend for our own club members, and during the week (weather permitting)
- We are a not-for-profit, member-funded, volunteer based, unincorporated Sports Club. We do not operate on a commercial shooting grounds basis and are not open to the general public. To arrange a visit to the club, you must email the Hon. Secretary in advance at

- at our ICTSA Registered Shooting Grounds at Berryfield, near Enniskerry, we cater for the following clay target shooting disciplines:

Fitasc - COMPAK
ABT - Automatic Ball Trap
- We participate in the Leinster League and host Leinster League competitions.
- - Originally founded in the 1930's, and called the Bray Gun Club. The Club was going strong at Berryfield when our recently deceased Club President Pat O'Brien joined in 1949, and the club continues to shoot at the Ballyman Glen - Berryfield Farm grounds. In the mid-1970's the Club affiliated / re-affiliated to the ICTSA and became known as the Bray Clay Pigeon Club.
- On behalf of the ICTSA, we have hosted numerous IRISH OPEN Competitions at Berryfield and we have also hosted two International Competitions over the years.

In 1931, the Bray Gun Club assisted with the running of the first International Clay Competition to be held in Ireland, at Bray, the venue was Woodbrook Golf Club. To see photos of the Programme for that event look at our August 2022 posts.
