4 years. Same two idiots. Slightly older. Still keeping ourselves right…😂💪🏾
-
One thing I’ve realised as I’ve got older is that motivation isn’t something you can rely on….
-
Some days I want to train….
Some days I absolutely don’t…
Some days I want the salad….
Some days my inner Bruce Bogtrotter wants the entire sweet drawer in my house😂
-
Completely normal…
-
The difference is having the discipline to keep showing up anyway….
-
Because the reality is, discipline can feel pretty fu***ng boring….
-
You train….
You eat well….
You do it again tomorrow…
And again the day after….
-
Most days don’t feel like you’re making some huge transformation….
-
But then you look back 3 years later and realise you’ve actually changed your life….
-
And now, being a dad, there’s another reason I want to stay in shape…. I don’t want my kids to grow up with a dad who used to be fit… or talks like “you should’ve seen me when I was younger son”
-
I want them to grow up seeing that looking after yourself doesn’t have to stop when life gets busy….
-
You can have kids….
Build a business…
Have a social life….
Eat the fu***ng doughnut….
And still take care of yourself…
🙌🏾
And this guy beside me is pretty good proof of that…
-
Jason Mullen in his 40’s and still in ridiculous shape…
-
So many years of photos together…Still showing up…Still putting the work in…
-
Could either of us be leaner? stronger? fitter?..of course…but that’s not the point…
-
The goal isn’t perfection or sacrificing the day scoops at the beach bar just to keep ourselves lean…It’s refusing to let another year look exactly like the last one… whilst retaining that “Balance” as jason would say!!
-
So if you’ve been telling yourself you’ll start when life calms down…It probably won’t… start now…
-
You don’t need more motivation….
-
You need a plan…some accountability and someone to keep you honest when you can’t be arsed…🫡
