🧤 WHY WE DO IT.
Over the last few days we’ve received three messages from parents/coaches that probably explain Keepers Only Yeovil better than any advert we could make.
JOSH
Josh has officially become part of the Yeovil Town U12 setup. A fantastic opportunity and another example of the connection we’re building between Keepers Only and Yeovil Town.
RUBY
A difficult opening game for her new JPL team — but an outstanding individual performance. Her mum told her to “treat it like a Keepers Only training session” and recognise the situations we’d worked on.
EVIE
After an outstanding performance against a strong Gillingham side, we were told her handling, command of her area and 1v1 work were superb — but what really pleased us was hearing about her starting position on the edge of the box when her team pushed up, ready to deal with balls in behind.
That’s goalkeeping.
Not just making saves.
Understanding the game.
Recognising pictures.
Making decisions.
Being brave.
Controlling your area.
Helping your team.
And when the opportunity comes, being ready to take the next step.
We can run drills every Thursday, but the real measure of our coaching is what our goalkeepers do when we’re not there.
