Afc langold 5-1 afc inning

Plenty of subs for both sidesand langold started well with a couple of early chances but ryan Goulding not able to take one on his return.
But it was afc innings who opened the scoring with a long ball into the box and met by there defender fir a nice header for 1-0.

But only a few minutes later a cross from Oliver Billau was met by Leon Smith for the equaliser which led to a bit of confidence by langold.
Another break foen thr left led to a cross from oliver again but this time was met by callum hooley for his first of the morning and 2-1.

Plenty of chances hitting the post and fine saves from the innings keeper but at ht its 2-1.

Shortly after the break callum finds himself on the end of a Goulding pass and fires it into the back of the net for 3-1.

The introduction of a couple of subs in Taylor Dennis and russ bird got the team on top again and Goulding finding callum again and another good finish and a hatrick on only his 3rd game for the club but he wasn't done there as he got on the ball outside the box taking on 2 or 3 innings defenders and rounding the keeper for a simple tap in and a massive impact on the team.

Innings went down to 10 men after a questionable decision but the game ended 5-1 and a positive performance .

Some cracking performances from aiden kehoe leon smith and motm Jonathan Tyldesley helped langold get their second win on the bounce.

AFC langold 4-2 Yorkshire Grey FC

After a few let downs on the morning of the game afc managed to get a team together and started pretty well with a couple of early chances from callum hooley and brandon hooley.
But after all the chances it was grey who took the lead with a mis controlled ball from Leon Smith it fell to the grey striker who fires into the top corner for 1-0.
A few more chances goong begging until a penalty shout and brandon hooley being taken down in the box but nothing from the referee, we knew then it was going to be a tuff game more chances from afc but nothing and grey only breaking out now and again we got to ht at 1-0.

So ht team talk more of the same but take some chances!!
K.o. callum plays it back it comes back to callum and he plays a piercing ball for leon Smith to race through with a one on one with the keeper and he fires it past the keeper left for 1-1
Afc look confident playing the ball around until callum intercepts a pass from the opposition keeper and finds a delightful chip from 45 yards and putting afc in control.

The 3rd goal came from Grant Mansbridge who was giving a strong performances and a free kick on the edge of the box.
Free kick is taken and delt with by Yorkshire Grey but it comes back out to grant who fires it into the back of the net 3-1.

Aidy kehoe picks up the ball on the left and rushes towards the box and unleashes an unstoppable mis kick and possibly catches the keeper of guard and trickles into the net for 4-1and another solid performance from aidy.

Grey pulled another one back with a lovely run and cross from the left and a neat header to finish 4-2.

Motm goes to callum hooley for a goal and assist and a great performance taking the game to the opposition.

Memorable moment comes from tom hogan with his over head twist with a pike clearance but he missed it and went out anyway.

AFC langold 4-6 Langold Lakeside FC

On a cold wet sunday morning both teams served up a cracker of a game and after a few minutes Gareth Douglas found the back of the net with a low drive to put afc 1 up.
With the Lakeside looking a bit nervous and Oliver Billau squandering a number of one on one chances we reach the break at 1-0.
Second half and from the kick off afc pass the ball back and a mix up lead to the Lakeside equalising 1-1.
Leon Smith started another of one of his runs and takes a shot for it to be handled inside the box for a penalty!

Up steps the slightly balding Taylor Dennis to smash it home padt the keeper for 2-1.

A couple of mistakes let Lakeside take the lead 2-3 until veteran mark Tomlinson found himself racing through and rounding a defender and the keeper to slot home for 3-3.
With legs getting tired from the heavy pitch more mistakes were made and Lakeside find themselves 3-5 up.

A mistake from the Lakeside defender allows Luke Wilson to fire over with a cross come shot and a few players missing the header the ball finds the back of the net for 4-5 to Lakeside and they found the net again with a well worked mibe for 4-6 at the final whistle

Great game for a Derby goals tackles end to end

Afc's motm was Grant Mansbridge with a great battling performances in the middle.

balby rec fc 1-1 afc langold

not a bad turn out from langold and always a tight affair between us it was oliver billau who found the net first after a mazey run and tidy finish but it was balbys midfield getting more of the ball and wasting chances they did get back on level terms before ht after a mix up in langolds defence.
no goals in the second half apart from a dubious off side call lots of chances for both teams in the second half but none taken, some good performances from sean billau again mark tomlinson in defence but robbie gill take the motm with his breaking up of play and setting us off into attacking positions good all round performace well done robbie.

Edlington fc 11-1 afc langold

Don't know where to start with this one Started ok couple of shots but Edlington scored first and shocked afc but Edlington grew in confidence and got another with langold faltering giving the ball away cheaply and a lack of desire Edlington reached ht 5 up.
After a few discussions at the break and a change in personnel it was debutant Daniel Wiltshire who races through and knocks it past the keeper 5-1 and a glidmer of hope but Edlington got back on it and finished the game with a flurry of goals ....bad day at the office...well done to leon Smith never gave up gave all he had.

On to the next one.

AFC langold 3-1 hensall hawks

Both teams started well and plenty to choose from it was hensall who opened the scoring with the player clearly offside but the referee allowing the play to continue we came in at 1-0 at ht.
But not upset about it as we knew we were the better side and the next goal was crucial and it was a nice ball from Jonathan Tyldesley to set up Grant Mansbridge who lifted the ball over the keeper for 1- 1 after a few minutes and that set the tone for a little while a few shots but nothing hitting the back of the net until the introduction of Gareth Douglas and a after a couple of minutes getting his bearings he chests one down onto a right footed volley over the keeper and into the back of the net....what a finish 2-1.
Hensall we're trying to play down the middle but Tomo Tomlinson and Tyler Moore were standing firm at the back with great help from Damon Potter and Leon Smith in the middle of the park and it was damo who went on a Maisey run down the right and crossed it over for the hensall defence to put the ball into there own net for 3-1.
Hensall started to press a little more until there player got sent off for a second caution and gave afc the upper hand till the end of the game.

Well done boys much needed win and we'll done to damo for his motm performance.
