A solid weekend in the latest round of the Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship…

As a team, we qualified inside the top 10 with strong pace all round 💪🏼

And… after 700km (12 hours) of racing, a couple of penalties and some back and forth, we managed to stay inside the top 10 and bring the kart round in 9th overall.

Anyone who’s raced in this championship knows that takes some doing and pleased to round off the racing year with more solid results and fun with friends 👏🏽

A closely contested, clean and damage-free final weekend of the 750MotorClub Swift Sport Challenge season at Mallory Park Circuit.

Not perhaps the results that was looking for after his 6th place debut at Croft a few weeks ago but the margins are so fine in this championship, the pace was decent and the racing close.

Charles had never done a lap of Mallory Park before qualifying and showed solid progress throughout the weekend 👏🏽

Also very pleased to bring home a straight, fully-functioning race car too which means a light winter of re-prep ahead before giving the team challenge a real good go in 2027 🙌🏼

Fun fact - since joining the championship half way through the season, Charles and I have been the highest scoring team and had every team have done every round, we’d have been, at worst, the second highest scoring team in the championship 💪🏼

Well, well, well…

The season finale has come round very quickly 😳

This weekend, is back behind the wheel, this time taking on Mallory Park Circuit for the first time.

After an equally impressive debut as his much faster and better-looking older brother in the Swift Sport Challenge, he’s looking to compete inside that top 10 once more 👀

Can’t believe this is the last bit of ‘tin-top racing’ for the year for us.

I have a couple of karting events between now and the end of the year and then it’s all eyes on the 2027 calendars where we aim to get both cars back out and give the Swift Sport Challenge Team Championship a really good go between us 💪🏼

Charles’ turn at being famous 👏🏽

Charles Hopkins made his debut in the Mr Transit Swift Sport Challenge at Croft.

The Hopkins Racing Team Challenge competitor claimed a best result of sixth over the weekend, which came in the opening race.

After a great 750MotorClub Swift Sport Challenge debut at Brands Hatch Circuit last month, I handed over the keys to for his debut in the championship.

On a grid of 31 cars, Charles absolutely smashed it, and would’ve qualified an incredible 3rd if it wasn’t for being held up on his final qualifying lap - P6 was still a great achievement!

Race 1 - he made a fantastic start and briefly ran in the podium places before being shuffled back on lap 2 and then having a race long battle for 5th - he ended up with a 6th place finish, matching my PB from Brands.

Race 2, Charles had a poor start and after finding himself back in 10th, he managed to battle back to 7th place by the chequered flag - another solid result.

Race 3 - two cars ahead came together on lap 1 which resulted in Charles getting caught up in the aftermath and sustaining some reasonable front end damage. He regrouped and managed to bring it home in P11. A great recovery drive with just a bit of repairing to do before the season finale at Mallory Park Circuit in a couple of week’s time.

A brilliant first weekend, a car that remains mostly in one piece and real promise again at the sharp end of the grid in a single-make series.

We’re on the up 📈

It’s been six weeks … but it’s finally RACE WEEK once again 🙌🏼

This time, has the keys and is making his much-anticipated debut in the Swift Sport Challenge after waiting very patiently for his turn 😂

Most of the gap between the last round has been used up by fixing our trailer but the car had a great debut weekend so hoping she goes just as well this time out…

Charles also went very well at Croft in the City Car Cup last year so will be hoping to build on that on his return to North Yorkshire 💪🏼

No live stream this time out but full timing is on TSL Timing ⏱️
