Melton Bowls Club

We play bowls under Bowls England and Federation rules, all abilities and ages. We have eight teams playing in six leagues and play in several cup competitions.

For more information please send an email to [email protected] The club was formed on 27th February 1905 and is one of the oldest clubs in the area. We celebrated our centenary in 2005 with various events including a match against the Royal Household Bowling Club at Home Park in Windsor. The club has always played “Federation Bowls” and in 1934 was one of the founding members of the Suffolk Co

unty (EBA) Bowling Association. The club’s first green was behind the Melton Parish Room, moving to our current location in 1933, on land given to the club by H W Burness. Since then the club has developed considerably.

To all Melton Bowls Club members who were planning to come and help with the green maintenance working party tomorrow Saturday 4th March. Due to various reasons including the forecasted weather it has been decided to postpone the working party for a week or so.
