Today marks the 160th anniversary of Beatrix Potters birth. She stayed at Broad Leys on several occasions with her family and it’s rumoured she wrote “The tale of Ginger and Pickles” during one vacation. She also met Canon Rawnsley at Broad Leys. He later became one of the founders of the National Trust. To visit Broad Leys you can either book a room with our manager via the website (subject to club events and other pre booked private events) or book a guided tour through Blackwell. It’s a wonderful example of Charles Voysey arts and crafts.
