Unfortunately the internet and phone system is down in most of Wareham and is affecting the golf course systems.
The course is still OPEN
You can still book tee times via our website, see the course status but unfortunately we cannot receive phone calls.

Local reports suggest BT are expecting the fault to be sorted by 7pm

Course maintenance Week 1 Greens complete ✅

The first week is complete with all the greens having been micro-cored, Sarrel rolled, overseeded, top dressed, brushing in and being finished with a granular fertiliser being watered in. This was some much needed TLC after the tough summer conditions.

Over the next few weeks you’ll see us move onto approaches, tees and fairways with all the areas getting some much needed attention.

WGC Hardy B Team Season Update
The season began positively, with home victories against Broadstone and Moors Valley, followed by an away win in the return fixture at Moors Valley.

The team then suffered three consecutive losses before bouncing back with another home victory, this time against Ferndown Forest. Our final game of the season will be away at Broadstone in September.

We are already looking ahead to next season, when we will aim to build on this year’s performance and continue improving.

Raising money for Alzheimer's Society
Wareham Golf Club Ladies held their Charity Texas Scramble yesterday.

The WINNING team of Kerry, Helen, Jane and Di won by a single point in a close competition
- Runners Up were Linda Sarah and Annie
- Longest Drive was Helen
- Nearest the Pin was Jenny

£121 was raised in the competition, with an extra £11 selling the Alzheimer's badges
A small book sale and other donations through the year adding £29.50

Hardy A Match Report: Date Sat 15th Aug

Venue – Away to Broadstone

This was always going to be a difficult match with beating us at home earlier in the year. We gave a few shots in some matches and received shots in others. Great golf was played by both teams, with a couple of standout performances by Nick Hollier winning 6 & 5, Ollie Tolman winning 1 up after being down most of the match and the ever-consistent Kev Knott, winning yet again.

After being told by one of their supporters we had lost the first 5 games (not ideal), It was a pleasant surprise to get back to the club house to find the score was actually 4-3 to Broadstone with one game left to play in. After 30-40 minutes the last game came into view and not really having a clue how this game stood we were very hopeful seeing Dave Russell hit a great drive up 18 leaving 90 yds in, followed by a perfect chip and putt to give Dave a 1 up win, great effort under pressure and the banter from the balcony. This rewarded us a well fought draw on the day.
