Busy rugby weekend for our Under 10s 🏉

We started with our annual presentation night on Friday, celebrating another fantastic season both on and off the field. Special thanks to Dylan Burrows and Ryan Owens who presented the trophies and individual awards. The squad looked superb in their new retro jerseys, generously sponsored by MS Shaw 👌🏼

It was a privilege to see Brenin receive the inaugural Aaron Phillips Award for his hard work, dedication and resilience throughout the year, both on and off the pitch.
Congratulations also to Ethan on winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year Award 👏
Finally a huge well done to every player who represented the team so proudly this season.

Onto Sunday, where the squad took part in the Bedwas RFC Festival. The team won 3 and lost 1, continuing to produce outstanding performances against tough opposition 💪

Our under 9s travelled to Treorchy today for the Treorchy Rugby Festival where they played their last games of the 25/26 rugby season.

They played against 5 different teams this afternoon and each game was incredible to watch. They were tackling well, passing and working together as a team. They held their heads high when things were happening outside of their control and a few players also sustained a few injuries. That didn’t stop them though, they got up and were eager to carry on 💪🏻

The team have come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season. This is the first year of tackling and it’s clear to see how much they’ve enjoyed it. They’ve grown together as a team with each player showing growing confidence and determination. They’ve made lasting friendships, fantastic memories and they’ve had fun along the way! The Under 9s are on fire and things can only get better from here! 💛🖤

Our Under 9s travelled to Butlins in Minehead for the Tigers Rugby Challenge on Bank Holiday weekend for their first Rugby Tour and what a weekend they had!

The weekend consisted of 2 full days of rugby playing against teams from all over the UK and a fantastic presentation where they all received a medal for participation. Not forgetting all the games, laughs and very special memories made with their parents and friends.

Every single player did their coaches, managers, parents and club proud this weekend. Not only did they play fantastic rugby, they showed incredible sportsmanship, supported each-other on and off the pitch, they were respectful of others and were very well behaved. All our players deserved all the praise they received over the weekend. On two occasions they were awarded the match ball by two different referees for how well they played. They are a marvellous example of being team players!

We would also like to thank GymStash for supplying our amazing tour kit. We received lots of compliments over the weekend as it was emblazoned with all the names of our incredible Under 9s players.

Thank you to everyone who made going on tour possible, what a fantastic way to end the 25/26 rugby season. The Under 9s first year of tackling, complete! 🖤💛

Under 10s Annual Tour 2026 – St Davids 🏉🌊

What a brilliant weekend with our amazing team and families!
The squad again played fantastic rugby finishing with 3 wins and a draw against tough, new opposition in an action packed schedule 💪🔥

A huge shout‑out to St Davids RFC for the warm welcome and hosting us so well 🤝

We packed in BBQs, beach fun, party nights and soaked up the stunning St Davids scenery ☀️🏖️ 🎶 🌄

Everything a tour should be and more.
