A little appreciation post for our girl, Lisa 🥹💕

After two lovely years at Sweetcheeks, Lisa is leaving us this week to move back to Chester with her family. We’re so pleased for her, but she’s going to leave a very big gap in our salon.

Lisa is an amazingly talented nail tech, and her beautiful work is only part of what we’ll miss. Over the past two years, she’s built such lovely relationships with her clients and our team, becoming a much-loved part of the Sweetcheeks family. 💗

As a salon owner, you never take for granted the people who put so much care into your business. Lisa has been a fantastic asset to mine, and I want her to know just how appreciated she is. Thank you for your hard work, your talent and everything you’ve brought to our salon.

Sophie is the owner and founder of Sweetcheeks Beauty Salons, with two locations in Telford and Shrewsbury.

With over 22 years of experience in the beauty industry, Sophie has spent the last several years specialising in advanced aesthetics, offering treatments including anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, skin boosters, vitamin injections and fat dissolving.

Sophie prides herself on offering an honest, friendly and personable approach to aesthetics. It’s never about changing the way you look — it’s about enhancing your natural features, helping you feel confident and recommending treatments that are genuinely right for you.

💕 FOUR YEARS OF SWEETCHEEKS SHREWSBURY 💕

Today marks four years since I opened the doors to my second salon—and I want to be honest about the journey behind this milestone.

Opening Shrewsbury taught me very quickly that you can’t simply copy and paste a successful business. What works in Telford doesn’t always work in Shrewsbury, and I’ve had to adapt, rethink things and learn what this salon, its team and its clients genuinely need.
Business can be incredibly tough. There have been times when I’ve had to dig very deep to keep things moving, make difficult decisions and find resilience I didn’t even know I had. Behind the beautiful salon, the pink interiors and the celebrations, there has been so much hard work, worry and determination.

But within those challenges, there has also been so much growth. We’ve adapted, expanded our skills and invested in training and upskilling our team, allowing us to introduce more treatments and take the salon to the next level.
We’re now creating everything I envisioned for Shrewsbury from the very beginning. When we first opened, I had so many ideas but simply didn’t have the investment to do everything at once. We’ve had to build it gradually, one step at a time—and seeing that original vision finally coming to life makes me incredibly proud.

This anniversary truly feels like the beginning of a new era for Sweetcheeks Shrewsbury. The salon is stronger, the team is growing, and we have so many exciting ideas, opportunities and plans already in the pipeline. There is so much more to come, and that feels incredibly exciting. ✨

I’m so grateful for my supportive team, who have stood beside me and kept me going through the difficult moments—especially my amazing salon manager, Rach. Your support, loyalty and belief in both me and the salon have meant more than you’ll ever know. 💕
