✨ Would you like to understand Pilates a little better?

Maybe you've been wondering what all the fuss is about?

Over half of the spaces for my September Pilates Workshop have now been taken!

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about the Pilates Method in a small, supportive environment.

We’ll look at the principles behind Pilates, how and why we use them, and what they actually mean when you’re in a class.

There’ll also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions — including those things you’ve always wondered about but perhaps never wanted to ask in a busy group class. 😊

It’s not about being the most experienced person in the room.

It’s about understanding why we do what we do, so you can get even more from your Pilates practice.

🗓️ Thursday 17 September
⏰ 6–7pm
📍 Wellington Methodist Church
💷 £10

There are now fewer than half the spaces remaining, so if you’d like to join me, don’t leave it too long.

This will be my only Pilates workshop this year.

If you miss this one, I’m planning to run another in January — but September is your chance to get involved sooner. 🤍

🍂 Hello, September.

There’s something about the “ber” months that makes us want to get back into a routine.

The summer holidays are winding down, the kids are heading back to school, evenings are getting shorter and suddenly we’re thinking about getting ourselves organised again.

If Pilates has slipped down the list over the summer, September is a lovely time to bring it back.

In my classes I aim to help you reconnect with your body, build strength and mobility, improve your posture and simply give you an hour in the week that is just for you.

And you don't need to be starting from where you left off.

Whether you’re completely new to Pilates, returning after a break, or you’ve been coming to classes for years, you can work at the level that’s right for you.

September is inviting you to find your rhythm again. 🤍

✨ I have a few ad hoc spaces in my September classes due to holidays which are now available to book: www.bookwhen.com/sapilates

Come and move with me this autumn.

✨️ Pilates Foundations – Beginners Workshop ✨️

Never tried Pilates before, or feel like you need to go back to basics and build your confidence?

This one-off workshop is designed to give you a friendly introduction to mat Pilates in a small, supportive group, so you can learn the fundamentals without feeling like everyone else already knows what they're doing!

We'll explore the key principles of Pilates, including breathing, alignment, core connection and controlled movement, before putting them into practice through a range of simple exercises.

There'll be plenty of explanation, guidance and options, so you can understand not just what you're doing, but why.

The aim is to leave you feeling more confident, stronger and ready to join one of my regular group classes.

Perfect for complete beginners, those returning to Pilates after a break, or anyone who has tried Pilates before but never felt confident with the basics.

Thursday 17th September | 6–7pm
£10 pp | Limited spaces

✨️ Would you like to try Pilates but don't know where to start? 🤔

I'm thinking about running a Pilates Foundations – Beginners Workshop in September and I'd love to know if there would be any interest.

It would be a one-off session aimed at absolute beginners, anyone returning to Pilates after a break, or anyone who has done a little Pilates but still doesn't feel confident with the basics.

We'd slow things down and go back to the foundations — breathing, alignment, core connection and some of the fundamental Pilates movements — before putting it all together into a gentle class.

The idea is to give you the confidence to then join one of my regular group classes, knowing what to expect and without feeling like everyone else already knows what they're doing!

It would be a small group, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get individual guidance.

I'm just gauging interest at the moment, so no date has been set yet.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, drop me a comment or send me a message and let me know. 😊

And if you know someone who has always said “I'd love to try Pilates, but I'm a bit nervous!” feel free to tag them.

Even Pilates teachers need a teacher....

One of the things I try to do when life allows is to get to a Pilates class with one of my own instructors.

It doesn't always happen as often as I'd like. Life gets busy, and sometimes teaching Pilates means I'm very good at finding reasons not to practise Pilates myself! 😂

But this morning, I made it to a Level 3 Reformer class with .

And I can definitely feel that I've worked!

One of the things I really value about being the student is not having to decide what I'm going to do.

Caroline selects the exercises, the order, and the challenges. There were movements I probably wouldn't have chosen for myself, and that's exactly why it's good to be led by someone else sometimes.

It's easy to fall into the things we're comfortable with, even when we know we should be challenging ourselves.

Being a student also reminds me what it feels like to be on the other side of the teaching.

To listen to instructions, concentrate on something new, work out what your body is doing, and occasionally think, “Oh no, I think I know where this is going!” 😂

It's a really important part of my own practice and my own learning as a teacher.

So thank you, Caroline, for making me work this morning. My body would like you to know that it noticed. 😉

🍂 SEPTEMBER PILATES CLASSES 🍂

There’s something about September that feels like a fresh start, isn’t there?

The summer holidays are winding down, the school routine is creeping back in, the evenings start to change, and suddenly you’re thinking, “Right… I probably ought to do something for me again!” 😂

As we move into autumn, having a regular movement routine can be such a lovely way to support your body through the change of season, building strength, improving mobility and giving yourself a little bit of time each week to focus on you.

And September is the perfect time to start. 💛

Classes are already filling up quickly, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now is a good time to get booked!
