8 years. One hell of a journey!

September marks the end of a chapter that has been a huge part of my life.

After 8 years with , I’ve made the decision to take the biggest step in my career so far…

I’m going FULL-TIME with TW Golf Coaching.

When I started at American Golf, I never imagined where the journey would take me. From developing as a retailer and manager, to becoming a PGA Professional, completing my PGA journey, building my coaching business and meeting so many incredible people along the way.

American Golf has given me some amazing memories, experiences and friendships that I’ll always be grateful for.

A massive thank you to everyone I’ve worked alongside, every customer who has walked through the doors, and everyone who has supported me throughout the last 8 years. ❤️

But now it’s time for the next chapter.

I’ve spent the last few years building TW Golf Coaching alongside a full-time career, often juggling weeks and weeks of long hours.

Now I get to put all focus into the thing I’m truly passionate about:

Helping golfers enjoy the game and ultimately, playing better golf!

It’s exciting.
It’s scary.
And honestly… I can’t wait!!

Putting Misconceptions - There are plenty but a very common issue I encounter is when a player’s perception is to move the putter back and through in a straight line, trying to keep the face aiming constantly at their target.

Ralph was struggling with consistency and speed and mainly due to a poor concept of how the putter should move. Some re-education and some work on speed control really helped him gain confidence in his putting stroke.

A great lesson this morning with who was moving well after some set up changes. Those set up changes really helped influence a better movement and get an understanding of the downswing sequence & timing.

Look at the difference between ‘Before & After’ of the shaft plane in delivery.

A classic alignment stick drill to help with an external cue to encourage his change in swing direction.

A great lesson this morning with Ash, a new client who is new to golf and complained about not being able to consistently hit the ball.
I explained and demonstrated what he was doing incorrectly and why it was hampering his strike.
He was then able to understand what was required and leave knowing what and how to move the body to improve!

Teen Boys Golf Lessons 🏌🏼‍♂️⛳️

Jack was complaining that his ball flight was really low and a general lack of control and consistency. He had a poor grip which was hindering his ability to hinge the club correctly and create speed.
The club was sitting high up in his palm on his glove hand - something I see a lot of with many golfers!

The changes at P2 & P3 were significant and caused a higher, straighter ball flight which I left Jack to get comfortable with and practice.
Once mastered we can progress onto the next stages of improving his technique 💪🏼
