We run senior, junior, mini & touch rugby teams and welcome new players of all abilities. 1st XV play in Eastern Counties Leagues. Teams for over 12yr olds in the Youth section. The club is a friendly inclusive Rugby club providing rugby for the local community

Today we celebrate the incredible coaching team that makes Swaffham Rugby Club what it is.

From our Minis and Youth sections, through to Touch Rugby and our Senior teams, every player's journey starts with a coach. Week after week, these dedicated volunteers give up their time, spending cold mornings, dark evenings, and countless hours on the sidelines encouraging, supporting, and developing our players both on and off the pitch.

Their passion, commitment, and enthusiasm help create opportunities for everyone to enjoy rugby, learn new skills, build confidence, and be part of our rugby family.

A club is so much more than what you see on the pitch.

From parent volunteers keeping everyone warm with hot drinks on cold winter mornings ☕, to our President, Vice Presidents, Chair, Safeguarding team, social media support, and so many more working quietly behind the scenes — this club is powered by people who give their time, energy, and care without seeking the spotlight.

The rain may have stopped play, but it certainly didn’t stop the fun! 🌧️🍻

Our first Ladies Rounders session may have been washed out, so the team swapped the pitches for the clubhouse and enjoyed a great social evening together instead.

The excitement is building, and we can’t wait to finally get out on the grass next Wednesday! 💪⚾

Hello Ladies! We are a rain or shine club and it looks like we have a very soggy Wednesday on the cards.

The pitch is too wet for play and we do not want any injuries 🍌

So PLAN B!

You are all welcome for a 'Ladies Rounders Club Ice-breaker' session in the club house, the bar will be open from 7pm-9.30pm for mingling and board games for those who enjoy them.

We can put faces to names and get to know each other ahead of the season! Or we will see you next week for hopefully brigther weather 🌞⚾️

Our club simply wouldn't be what it is without the incredible people who give up their time, energy and passion to help make Swaffham Rugby Club such a special place.

Today, our Chair Brian would like to say a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who contributes behind the scenes and on the front line. From coaches and team managers to bar staff, committee members, grounds volunteers, match day helpers and everyone in between – your dedication keeps our club thriving.

Volunteers are the backbone of community rugby, creating opportunities for players of all ages to enjoy the game, make friends and be part of something special.

🌟 Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟

As we begin Volunteers' Week, we want to celebrate the incredible people who make Swaffham Rugby Club such a special community.

To kick things off, we'd like to offer a huge congratulations to Laura and James, who have been nominated for the RFU Volunteer of the Year Awards! 👏🏉

Both Laura and James were recently presented with their nomination certificates at Wymondham Rugby Club by Pam Clarke from Eastern Counties Rugby Union in recognition of their outstanding contribution to grassroots rugby.

As the driving force behind our thriving Minis section every Sunday, they have helped grow player numbers week after week, creating a fun, welcoming environment where young players can develop their skills and love for the game. Beyond that, they generously give their time to support many other areas of club life, always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

Everyone at Swaffham Rugby Club is incredibly proud of what they have achieved and the impact they continue to make on our rugby family.

Looking for a fun and active way for your child to spend their Thursday evenings? Come along to Swaffham Rugby Club's Minis Rugby Fun Fitness Sessions!

🌟 Ages 6-10
📅 Thursday 4th June
⏰ 5:30pm - 6:15pm
📍 Swaffham Rugby Club, North Pickenham Road

These sessions are all about having fun, making new friends, building confidence, and learning rugby skills through games and activities. No experience is needed – just bring plenty of energy and a smile!

Whether your child has played rugby before or is completely new to the game, everyone is welcome to come and give it a try.

🌞🏉 SUMMER AT SWAFFHAM RUGBY CLUB IS IN FULL SWING! 🏉🌞

Looking for something to get involved in this week? We've got plenty happening at the club for all ages!

👉 Tuesday – Touch Rugby returns! Come along, have some fun, and help the squad sharpen up as they prepare for Crus Fest.

👉 Wednesday – Our first Ladies Rounders session takes place! The response has been incredible, and we can't wait to get started. The bar will be open afterwards for a well-earned drink and a chance to socialise.

👉 Thursday – Our youth summer fitness sessions are back on the pitches:
🏉 Minis (Year 2 – Age 10): 5:30pm – 6:15pm
🏉 Youth (Ages 11–16): 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Whether you're a seasoned player, a complete beginner, or just looking to meet new people and stay active, there's something for everyone at Swaffham Rugby Club this summer.
