Thrills, Wins & Determination at Nutts Corner Irish Minibike Championship!
Harry Birch was unstoppable, producing a flawless six wins from six races across Saturday and Sunday. From the very first race, Birch set the pace at the front and never looked back, controlling every contest with confidence and precision.
Saturday saw him dominate all three races, including fastest laps of 1:13.2 and a blistering 1:12.3, steadily pulling clear of the field as the day progressed. He returned on Sunday with the same ruthless consistency, completing a perfect sweep to seal a commanding clean sheet weekend and maximum points. Multiple fastest laps of the session throughout the weekend, Harry made it clear at Nutts Corner he wasnβt just there to take part, he was there to take over! Leaving the circuit on Sunday with a new PB, a clean sheet and a few quid in the pocket thanks to Uncle Mark and his bet π Harry left with more than a smile on his face and is looking forward to the next run out where he hopes to maintain his streak!
Katie Clint showed strong consistency throughout the weekend, finishing 5th 6th & 7th in races on Saturday while steadily improving her pace with each outing. Her best lap dropped from 1:23.6 to 1:19.7, highlighting clear progress.
Sunday continued that upward trend, with Katie securing two 10th-place finishes and an encouraging P8, improving again to a best lap of 1:22.8 as she built confidence and experience around Nutts Corner. Aiyana-Rose Lennon racing β Resilience and Big Gains
Despite mechanical setbacks on Saturday, Aiyana-Rose Lennon showed real determination, pushing through every race and continuing to improve despite the challenges.
Sunday brought a huge turnaround after late-night work on the bike with support from her family. The changes paid off immediately as A-R returned stronger, cutting her lap times by a massive 9 seconds overall and setting a new personal best, ending the weekend with a well-earned smile and renewed confidence.
Zak Turkington β From Setbacks to Statement Victory
Zakβs weekend was full of drama and fightback energy. Saturday began with mechanical issues, forcing him onto borrowed machines, yet he still delivered 2nd and 3rd place finishes before storming to a dominant Race 3 victoryonce the bike was sorted.
Sunday was all about control and confidence. Zak was untouchable in the opening two races, building huge leads of 11 seconds and 6 seconds, before sealing a dramatic photo-finish win (0.098s) in Race 3 to complete a brilliant hat-trick. Huge thanks to Tommy for ensuring the bike was running perfectly for Sunday while he supported the USBK Juniors at Kirkistown on Sunday, leaving The Boss Lady with an easy job! π
Leon Simpson LS85 β Fight, Pace & Heart
Leon Simpson ( #85) delivered a weekend full of speed and determination at the IMC Championship.
He opened with a strong 2nd place in Race 1, before a DNF in Race 2 despite setting one of the fastest laps of the race. He responded well with a solid 4th place in Race 3,
Sunday brought more action as Leon bounced back with another 2nd place finish, followed by a hard-fought 3rd place after leading the race early, setting a best lap of 1:03.3 along the way.
Despite setbacks including a DNF and a crash, Leon showed true fighting spirit throughout the weekend, leaving Nutts Corner with multiple podiums and plenty of determination for the rounds ahead.
Huge thanks to Christopher Birch for helping Eva keep the bikes running on Sunday with fuelling, tyre pressures etc so that she could watch races and provide the juniors with feedback. Another shout out to David Clint, Vicki Clint, Ella & Chris/Leona Birch, for helping with getting the awning down and van loaded with everything!

Thinking of our supporter Rider Boyd Knipe while he recovers after yesterdays off, after such a great day on Saturday we were absolutely gutted for Boyd when this happened but we have no doubt he will be back bigger, better and stronger than before! Enjoy the TT kid!π
