SB Movement Method

SB Movement Method Hot Yoga Sculpt. And More. Infrared-heated yoga sculpt classes plus our full range of SB Movement studio workouts designed for strength and endurance.

Come as you are. All you need is the willingness to begin. Hi, I’m Steph – welcome to SB Movement! Movement has been part of my life since childhood, starting with dance training at The Royal Ballet School and Central School of Ballet. While an injury shifted my path, it led me to family life, motherhood and a new found passion for the boutique fitness scene. In 2018, I opened my first studio, POPfit, in London. After moving to the Cotswolds during the pandemic, I reconnected with movement in a deeper, more mindful way — one that supported my mental health and healing journey. The SB Movement Method was born from this space. It’s not about perfection — it’s about presence, connection and joy. Whether you’re here to move your body, ease your mind or simply feel good, you’re in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here. 💛

Are you new around here?

Even for the most confident of humans, walking into a new class, a new studio, with new people and not really knowing what to expect can feel SCARY.

Walking into a room full of people you don’t know? And then EXERCISE while you’re there?! AHHHHH 😱😂

We all feel like that.

So whether it’s me, Caro, Lex, these adorable doggies of mine 🐶 or the wonderful humans who already come to class, just know that you’ll be welcomed, reassured and looked after from the minute you walk through the door.

No judgement. No pressure. Just come as you are.

We’ll be super nice to you while you find your feet and start to feel at home…

And then, once you’re comfortable?

We will suitably kick your ass. 😘🍑🔥

✨ NEW CLASS ✨
Monday’s 7pm Hot Yoga Sculpt with Lex 🔥
I’m so excited for Lex to start teaching at the studio.
From the first time I met her, she was warm, friendly and had such a calm energy. I just knew she’d be wonderful to have teaching here.
And after taking her class myself, I can honestly say you’re in for a treat. It was such a lovely feeling to be the student for once and be guided through a strong, challenging, flowing class that somehow left me feeling both worked and completely grounded and calm.
If you don’t know Lex already, I’m pretty confident you’re going to love her. And if you’re new to the studio, you’ll be in very good hands 🤍
Monday 7pm. Come and meet Lex on the mat!

Life, like the rolling hills of Gloucestershire, has its ups and downs. One minute you’re strolling along feeling on top of the world, the next you’re wondering why nobody warned you about the hill 🤣

It’s beautiful, but it can also be messy.

I was chatting with a friend recently and she said how much better she felt after having what she called “a moan”. But I don’t think it was a moan at all. Life is tough sometimes and simply saying things out loud, being honest about how you’re feeling and reaching out to someone can lift a weight you didn’t even realise you were carrying.

That’s why friends matter. That’s why community matters.

Looking after yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Especially when you’re spending your days caring for others, whether that’s family, friends, colleagues or clients. Prioritising your own wellbeing gives you the strength to keep showing up.

And when you don’t feel strong? That’s where community comes in. To hold you up, support you and be the strength you need until you find your own again. Then, in time, you get to do the same for someone else.

That’s what I love most about the studio. It’s what I love most about my friendships. That human connection. The reminder that none of us has to do life alone.

So if you’re struggling, even quietly, reach out to someone. It helps more than you think.

And if you’re one of those people who thinks everyone else has got their s**t together...
They haven’t. ❤️

I don’t feel motivated every day. Do you?

Nope. 🙋🏼‍♀️ That’s what classes are for!

Showing up even when you don’t feel like it— That’s a strength in itself.

It’s easy when you’re feeling motivated. It’s much harder when you’re not. But honestly, that’s just the initial hurdle. Once you’re in class, it doesn’t really matter whether you felt like coming or not — you’re here, you’re moving and you’re doing something for yourself.

And I don’t think I’ve ever come across anyone who’s left a class saying, “I wish I hadn’t come today.”

So here’s to showing up for yourself, even on the days you can’t be bothered.

One mother of a milestone! 🥹❤️

My baby girl turned 18 over the weekend and it feels SO crazy to hit this milestone as a parent. Hugely proud doesn’t quite cover it.

I know lots of us are a little out of our usual routines over the summer — whether that’s children being off school, holidays, parties, weddings… or just fully embracing the summer vibe! I have very much been doing all of the above 😂

And while a little part of me is craving my ‘regular’ routine, I’m also really enjoying the week-by-week mayhem. There’s something to be said for letting life be a bit messy and unstructured sometimes.

Chloe turning 18 has really reminded me that life somehow manages to move incredibly slowly and incredibly quickly all at once. Those long days when they’re babies can feel endless… and then suddenly you’re celebrating their 18th birthday.

So, in the spirit of everything I talk about through SB Movement Method — movement, wellbeing, making space for yourself and actually living your life — I’m reminding myself to soak it all up. The big moments but especially the little ones you think don’t count.

The sunny days. The late nights. The celebrations. The chaos. The cups of tea. The moments you’re completely off schedule.

They all count. ❤️

Hugely, hugely proud of my daughter. She’s been and will continue to be, an amazing teacher — because children teach us so much about slowing down, being present and appreciating the moment.

Now… pass me the tissues. 😭❤️

A little conversation with one of our lovely members, Lee, really stayed with me, so I thought I'd share it. ❤️

Lee is a mental health nurse. She spends her days supporting other people through some of the hardest times in their lives. She loves what she does and finds it incredibly rewarding but it's also emotionally demanding, draining and high stress.

What a bloody hero.

When Lee first came to the studio a few months ago she'd never done yoga before. In fact, she told me it had never really appealed because she "wasn't flexible." It took her sister dragging her along to a class... and now, for want of a better word, she's a convert!

We talked about why.

For Lee, class isn't about touching her toes or nailing a pose. It's about looking after herself. It's where she comes to recharge both emotionally and physically.
She said she leaves feeling calmer, lighter and more like herself again.

We also spoke about something I don't think people realise until they experience it. The room is warm, cosy and quite dark. There are no mirrors. We spend so much of the practice with our eyes closed or in a soft gaze that you stop thinking about what anyone else is doing. You realise they're not looking at you either.

Even though you're sharing the space with other people, it somehow becomes your own little bubble.

An hour where nobody needs anything from you.

We also talked about the biggest barrier so many of us have... finding the time.
When life is busy and stressful, fitting in a class can feel impossible. But once you experience how it makes you feel, something shifts. Instead of trying to squeeze it in, you start protecting that time because you know how much better you'll feel afterwards.

Lee told me that after a long, tough day at work she actually feels relief knowing she has yoga waiting for her that evening.

I loved that.

So if you've ever thought...✨ "I'm not flexible enough."✨ "Yoga probably isn't for me."✨ "I'm a bit sceptical."✨ "I'd be too nervous to come on my own."

Please don't let those thoughts stop you.
You genuinely don't know until you try.
And like it has been for Lee, it might just become one of the best things you do for yourself.

Our Hot Yoga Sculpt trial class is just £12. If you've got any questions at all, please just send me a message. I'd love to chat.

Yesterday a man asked me if I had a website. Then, despite knowing absolutely nothing about me or my business, he kindly explained how I should market it and suggested I start a blog.

Now, I can't possibly imagine why he felt qualified to give unsolicited business advice to a woman he'd met five minutes earlier... 🤔

But, as per his recommendation, here's my blog post:
Women are amazing. We are capable, ambitious, resilient and far more knowledgeable than we're often given credit for.

I've got this. You've got this. We've got this.
So, with love, respect and just a tiny hint of sarcasm: mind your own business while I continue growing mine 💁🏼‍♀️✨

On the bright side, he may have been onto something about the blog... I think I just wrote my first one. 😂

When you find exercise that you genuinely enjoy, you start to look forward to it and consistency becomes so much easier.

At SB, my goal is to make sure the classes are enjoyable. You guys bring the energy, the laughs and the good vibes, which makes every class such a fun hour to be part of. And I think there’s also something to be said for having an hour where you can hit pause on everything else going on in life and just focus on yourself. Personally, that’s one of my favourite parts 😉

Whatever it is that keeps you coming back, if you enjoy it, you’ll stick with it. And over time, you really start to notice the difference.
Not just physically—feeling stronger, fitter and more confident—but mentally too.

Taking that time for yourself, challenging yourself, clearing your head and proving to yourself what you're capable of.

See you in class this week! 💪
Get yourselves booked in.

New to SB? Awesome 🤩 Drop me a message if you have any questions or just go ahead and book in.

This week has absolutely wiped me out 😅

I thought I’d share because after chatting with so many of you lovely lot in the studio, it seems I’m not the only one feeling it. So many of you have said you’re exhausted too and for some, it’s been quite an emotional week as well.

As a self-proclaimed anxiety-suffering expert 🙋‍♀️, I also know that when you’re exhausted, moving your body can feel like the last thing you want to do. On those days, I tell myself to just show up and expect minimum effort. No pressure, no expectations. Just move a little.
Because something is always better than nothing at all & ultimately I know it really helps.

So if you’re feeling off this week (cancer moon vibes are strong) then be extra extra patient with yourself and in whatever way you can (even a short walk) move your body just a little.

Okay, time for a lie down now, night bye!! 🤣😴
